Whatever means they use, the purpose is to compete for more customers and sell more goods.However, when asked about the promotion behavior of so many supermarkets, peoples views vary. Some people hold the view that the discounting behavior of the supermarkets benefits both the buye
3、rs and the sellers. For one thing, consumers can buy things at much lower prices and thus can save money. For another, discounting promotion can generate consumers buying enthusiasm and improve their consuming capacity, which in turn benefits the sellers greatly. Others, however, dont think much of
4、such promotion. Rather, they regard it as advertising stunts of the sellers, from which consumers may not gain benefits but suffer losses. On the one hand, the so-called discounted goods are not cheap at all, for the discounts are often offered not on the full prices but on the raised prices. On the
5、 other hand, the goods offered at generous discounts tend to be either outdated or of poor quality, especially foods, which are often found stale or even decaying.As far as I am concerned, the supermarkets promotion does benefit consumers, who can save money by buying discounted goods, which is of s
6、ignificance especially to families with average or low income. But meanwhile we must be cautious of falling into the traps of the sellers. To avoid that, bear in mind that we buy something because it is needed and of good quality as well as cheap. Being a rational consumer instead of an impulsive bu
