18、tweendeck into lower hold, and seriously injured his head and became unconscious at that moment. The occurrence was reported to me instantly. Being given first-aid treatment by ships doctor, the injured person, accompanied by the doctor, was taken by an ambulance to the near hospital for treatment.
19、While the next day the ships doctor phoned me that unfortunately the aforesaid stevedore had died of the extremely serious injury in five hours after the operation. So far as I know, the aforesaid mishap was solely due to the his own fault. I hereby state that my ship is not in any way responsible f
