This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard
15、, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 1998, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 1998. 20、of firefighting and rescue service vehicles. It also identifies the main characteristics of any motor vehicle by a serial number and letter as defined in the following clauses which may be used in invitations to tender within Europe. 1 Scope This part of EN 1846 applies to firefighting and rescue se
21、rvice vehicles. It establishes classes and defines categories which are functions of the use and mass of the vehicles. A designation system gives the various criteria used for characterizing the vehicles. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference, provi
22、sions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter.
