This sta
2、ndard is based on the VDA volume “VDA Automotive Standard Guideline - Component Re quirement Specification“ (http:/www.vda-qmc.de/; Module 1 “Universal Content“) and describes uni versal requirements on service provision within the framework of component development. Operating fluids, such as engine
3、 and transmission oils, brake fluids or coolants are standard parts within this context; they shall be treated like components. VDA module 2 “Component requirement specification for mechanical and electrical/electronic scopes“ describes component-specific requirements for the development of componen
4、ts, modules and parts; it is reproduced in the Component Performance Specifications template available within the Volkswagen Group. The relevant Component Performance Specifications (BT-LAH, German abbreviation) in conjunction with this standard form the basis of the contractors duties. Previous iss

This Standard series VW 99000 describes
22、requirements to be complied with by the contractor in the development of components, while the drawing defines conditions to be complied with by the standard production part. 1 1 Page 3 VW 99000: 2009-08 General project specificationsGeneral project specifications AimAim The contractor assumes respo
23、nsibility for compliance with all requirements defined in the BT-LAH and the referenced documents. Within the scope of development the following requirements for development and production shall be met according to the purchasers Group specifications for the entire development scope: Compliance with
24、 the deadline requirements as currently agreed. Compliance with agreed cost targets Development of the macroeconomically (e.g., incl. processing and disposal) most cost-effective solution in coordination with the purchaser if several technically equivalent solutions are available Fulfillment of func
25、tion and quality in accordance with features defined and specified by the pur chaser Fulfillment of all legal and safety-relevant specifications of the markets and countries listed in the BT-LAH Compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines Implementation of all findings acquired from the pr
26、ototype tools and parts into the standard pro duction tools and parts All specified testing technologies and testing concepts for development and planning Serviceability and repairability The contractor is expected to make a major contribution to product and technology development as well as to the
27、continuous improvement of product contents and the applied processes in the entire life-cycle of the product. This applies in particular to: Optimal customer utilization (usability) Optimization of factors influencing consumption Weight Current consumption Air resistance Efficiency Rolling resistanc
28、e Optimized environmental compatibility, also during production Quality improvement Optimum ease of assembly and disassembly (simple and uniform fastening techniques as well as draining if necessary) Reduction of the number of variants to an absolute minimum (complexity reduction) Within this scope,
29、 the component shall always be considered being a part of the entire system, i.e. including all exterior, interior, connecting and fastening parts. 2 2 2.1 2.1 Page 4 VW 99000: 2009-08 OrganizationOrganization The contractor shall prepare a detailed project plan including at least the following: Wor
30、k breakdown structure in conformity with the purchasers project specifications. Individual work packages shall be defined for each field of activity and each development phase. Material and personnel resources shall be assigned to the individual work packages (time schedule see Section 3). A work pa
31、ckage shall be trackable in the course of the regular project reports; it shall be assigned to a milestone, and shall provide criteria that define the successful completion. Interdependen cies between work packages shall be represented. Responsibility structure plan detailing the persons responsible
32、 within the project and assigning them to work packages. The responsibilities shall be represented (in a project-specific organi zation chart, for example). Sub-contractors shall also be listed. A contact list with all persons mentioned in the work-responsibility structure plan shall be created. Dev
33、elopment work is performed by Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SET). Active participation of the contractor in the SE process is mandatory. Individual tasks for the contractor and the purchaser are specified within the framework of the SET works upon mutual consent. If necessary, project status meeti
34、ngs can be agreed upon between the purchasers and contractors project managers; in these meetings, project progress, time schedules, milestones, risks, etc. are evaluated. If required, the purchaser will convoke a management steering committee with the participation of the contractors board of manag
35、ement. Reviews during the development processReviews during the development process The contractor shall perform internal reviews of the work products during all development phases (reviews of requirements, design, testing, configuration management, project follow-up reviews, etc.) The purchaser may
36、 participate in the reviews and/or request the disclosure of review results. All open points resulting from the reviews shall be documented in the list of open issues. Risk managementRisk management The contractor shall introduce a risk management method for the duration of the project. With foresig
37、ht, the contractor shall identify and prioritize risks relating to technical questions, time schedule, and costs for the project. The contractor shall take measures for elimination or minimization of the detected risks. The risks as well as the measures taken for risk minimization must be regularly
38、updated and docu mented. 2.2 2.2 2.2.1 2.2.1 2.2.2 2.2.2 Page 5 VW 99000: 2009-08 Fault managementFault management The contractor shall introduce a procedure to control and track fault processing for the duration of the project. This procedure shall be carried out with adequate tool support, and tak
39、e all faults into account that might occur on the purchasers and contractors side. The procedure contains at least: Fault IDs that can be assigned unambiguously Fault priorities (matched to the purchasers fault priorities) Possible processing statuses (matched to the purchasers fault status) Agreeme
40、nt process with respect to fault priority assignment and agreement of mandatory dead lines for fault elimination The documentation of all faults including the progress status as well as the reasons and measures taken is ensured in a dedicated database of the purchaser, which also represents the data
41、 source for all fault reports. Access to this database via B2B supplier platform is granted to the contractor by the purchaser upon consultation. Beginning with availability of testable basic samples (B samples) at the latest, the contractor shall disclose the fault processing state in the form of a
42、 fault report on a weekly basis. The report includes the details of all faults and shall contain at least the following information: Fault ID Brief description Detailed description and, if required, references to further documents Date on which the fault occurred Person who detected the fault Versio
43、n in which the fault occurred Processing state Fault priority Completion date/release in which the fault will be remedied Reference to the purchasers fault ID Elimination measures for the faults shall be included in the list of open issues. 2.2.3 2.2.3 Page 6 VW 99000: 2009-08 Sub-contractor managem
44、entSub-contractor management Sub-contractors and all manufacturing plants of the contractor shall be designated to the purchaser by name. If the sub-contractors have not yet been determined, a procurement plan shall be provided. The contractor shall ensure via appropriate contractual agreements that
45、 the sub-contractors, too, fulfill all the requirements agreed between contractor and purchaser. Concerning the single parts required by the contractor for manufacturing and supply, the contractor must establish a concept for ensuring secure supply sources when a sub-contractor is not able to supply
46、. This concept must be presented by the contractor upon the purchasers request. The contractor shall ensure that the sub-contractors have the potential to comply with the quality requirements, and that the required quality performance is continuously provided and improved. The assurance of the sub-c
47、ontractors potential to comply with quality requirements with respect to system, process and product shall always be implemented along with the qualifying measures that may be necessary, and shall be completed by the start of the pilot series. The assurance of the potential to comply with quality re
48、quirements can be documented by: QM systemDocumentation by certificate ProcessDocumentation by audit or reference ProductDocumentation by quality performance The audit shall be performed by a qualified auditor (qualification according to VDA standard or com parable). The purchaser reserves the right
49、 to specify a sub-contractor for the contractor. The contractor is obliged to accept the FMEAs of the sub-contractors and to submit a final report on this to the purchaser. If required, access shall be granted for the purchaser to the FMEAs of the sub- contractor. The contractor always remains responsible for the delivered finished product and is the central contact of the purchaser within the Volkswagen Group. 2.3 2.3 Page 7 VW 99000: 2009-08 Production process and product rel
