This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s

This document is one of a series of Standards intended to be used by experts or competent bodies for the purpose of producing an EXtended APplication report (EXAP). It is not in

35、ize and design of elements that can be tested by the standard methods of test for fire resistance. When these elements are larger, or are of a modified design, there is a necessity to be able to confirm their performance, i.e. whether the classification(s) is given in the classification report in re

To achieve this, extended application documents for the various elements are under development. Licensed Copy: London South Bank University, London South Bank Uni
37、versity, Fri Jun 01 01:33:04 GMT+00:00 2007, Uncontrolled Copy, (c) BSI prEN 15080-10:2007 (E) 5 1 Scope This standard identifies parameters that affect the fire resistance of ducts. It also identifies the factors that need to be considered when deciding whether, or by how much, the variation of the
38、 parameter can be extended both ways, even in plus or in minus, when contemplating the fire resistance performance of an untested, or unstable variation in the construction. This standard, where applicable, gives guidance on additional tests that are needed to extend the field of application. The st
39、andard gives the principles behind how a conclusion on the influence of specific parameters/constructional details relating to the relevant criteria (E, I, S) can be achieved. It should be noted that fire-resisting ducts are exposed to different conditions to other elements of construction; in parti
40、cular they are subjected to significantly different pressure regimes. Also integrity is evaluated in part by leakage measurements. Consequently, this European standard may adopt a different approach to other extended field of application standards. This standard only applies to ducts already tested
41、to EN 1366-1. It does not cover ducts used for smoke control. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
