22、stem (BNWAS) Performance requirements, methods of testing and required test results Introductory note According to AC 8, 2003, the NP and CDV are circulated in parallel, under references 80/554/NP and 80/555/CDV. This new International Standard specifies the minimum performance requirements, technic
23、al characteristics and methods of testing, and required test results, for a bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) as required by Chapter V of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). It is expected that BNWAS will become a mandatory carriage requirement for ships
24、in 2011 and that type approval of BNWAS will then be required.
