1、 ABS RULES FOR BUILDING AND CLASSING STEEL VESSELS . 2007 1 RULES FOR BUILDING AND CLASSING STEEL VESSELS 2008 NOTICE NO. 2 July 2008 The following Rule Changes were approved by the ABS Rules Committee on 3 June 2008 and become EFFECTIVE AS OF 1 JULY 2008. (See http:/www.eagle.org/rules/downloads.ht
2、ml for the consolidated version of the 2008 Steel Vessel Rules, with all Notices and Corrigenda incorporated.) Notes - The date in the parentheses means the date that the Rule becomes effective for new construction based on the contract date for construction, unless otherwise noted. (See 1-1-4/3.3.)
3、 PART 3 HULL CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT CHAPTER 7 TESTING, TRIALS AND SURVEYS DURING CONSTRUCTION HULL SECTION 2 TRIALS (Revise Subsection 3-7-2/1, as follows.) 1 Anchor Windlass Trials (1 July 2008) Each windlass is to be tested under working conditions after installation onboard to demonstrate sat
4、isfactory operation. Each unit is to be independently tested for braking, clutch functioning, lowering and hoisting of chain cable and anchor, proper riding of the chain over the chain lifter, proper transit of the chain through the hawse pipe and the chain pipe, and effecting proper stowage of the
5、chain and the anchor. It is to be confirmed that anchors properly seat in the stored position and that chain stoppers function as designed if fitted. The mean hoisting speed, as specified in 4-5-1/5.1.4, is to be measured and verified, with each anchor and at least 82.5 m (45 fathoms) length of chai
6、n submerged and hanging free. The braking capacity is to be tested by intermittently paying out and holding the chain cable by means of the application of the brake. 8、NERY CHAPTER 5 DECK AND OTHER MACHINERY SECTION 1 ANCHOR WINDLASS 1 General 1.5 Plans and Particulars to be Submitted (Add new bullet to end of Paragraph 4-5-1/1.5, as follows.) (1 July 2008) Calculations demonstrating that the windlass prime mover is capable of attaining the hoisting speed, the req
9、uired continuous duty pull, and the overload capacity are to be submitted if the “load testing” including “overload” capacity of the entire windlass unit is not carried out at the shop see 4-5-1/7ii). 7 Shop Inspection and Testing (1 July 2006) (Revise Item 4-5-1/7ii), as follows.) ii) Load test (1
10、July 2008). The windlass is to be tested to verify that the continuous duty pull, overload capacity and hoisting speed as specified in 4-5-1/5.1 can be attained. Where the required “load testing” including “overload” capacity of the entire windlass unit at the shop is not possible or practical, the
11、manufacturer may submit powering calculations demonstrating that the windlass prime mover is capable of attaining the hoisting speed, the required continuous duty pull, and the overload capacity. These calculations are to be validated through testing of an anchor windlass unit. Once these calculatio
12、ns are validated, they may be used in place of the load tests within the scope of the calculations. Further, in addition to other testing requirements, each prime mover is to be tested at the shop to verify its ability to meet the calculated power requirements. Where the prime mover is a hydraulic m
13、otor, in addition to the hydraulic motor, the hydraulic pump is also to be tested at the shop. During the testing, the input/output torque, speed, delivery pressures and flow rates of the pump and the hydraulic motor are to be measured, as appropriate.
