PROBLEM TITLE Winter Maintenance Decision Support for Airport Operations II.
3、RESEARCH PROBLEM STATEMENT Public expectations and operational necessities require the most efficient and effective responses possible to weather-related events across a number of industries. This is particularly true for runway winter maintenance activities during inclement weather where anti-icing
4、, deicing, and/or plowing is necessary to maximize safe operations for aircraft and passengers. For many airports this also includes providing winter maintenance for airport and airport roadway access. Surface transportation officials across the United States have been working to apply this same adv
5、anced, proactive approach to highway maintenance in an effort to ensure the safety and mobility for highway users. Highway maintenance decision support systems (MDSS) have been developed and successfully deployed to assist maintenance managers in making effective and efficient decisions. The MDSS ca

MDSS for winter maintenance activities can also assist in minimizing the environmental effects of chemical applications through the selection of appropriate strategies and tactics. III. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this research is to develop MDSS applications to enhance airpo
