This conference
2、was held August 4- 9, 1991 in Montreal, Canada, and was a follow-up of the Katherine and Bryant Mather International Conference on Concrete Durability held in Atlanta, Georgia, April 27-May 1, 1987. Unlike the first conference, this second conference was not named after any individual or individuals
3、, and the future conferences in this series would follow this precedent. More than 100 papers from 20 countries were received and peer reviewed in accordance with the policies of the American Concrete Institute. Seventy were accepted for publication. To all those whose submissions could not be inclu

The accepted papers are published in two volumes; the first volume contains papers dealing with the freezing and thawing, chloride-ion penetration, corrosion, performance

The second volume consists of papers dealing with the durability of fibre-reinforced cement composites and concrete, shotcrete, alkali-aggregate reactions, carbonation and sulphate attack. Some papers could have been published i
