2、andard requires verification by ANSI that the re- quirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval have been met by the standards developer. Consensus is established when, in the judgment of the ANSI Board of Standards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by directly
3、and materially affected interests. Sub- stantial agreement means much more than a simple majority, but not necessarily unanim- ity. Consensus requires that all views and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be made toward their resolution. The use of American National Standards is c

This standard applies to all permanent places of employment, except where domestic, mining, or common carrier transportation work only is performed. It does not apply to family housing provided by the employer in one- or two-family dwellings,
20、 nor to tem- porary labor camps; the latter are covered by Ameri- can National Standard Minimum Requirements for Sani- tation in Temporary Labor Camps, ANSI 24.4-1 968. Measures to control toxic materials are also outside the scope of this standard. 1.2 Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to pr
21、e- scribe minimum sanitary requirements for the protec- tion of the health of employees in permanent places of employment as described in 1.1. 2.
