RESEARCH PROBLEM STATEMENT The FAAs Integrated Noise Model (INM) relies on a generic approach profile to
5、model arrivals. Many newer aircraft have hardwired (profile points) arrivals that cannot be adapted for Tailored Arrival modeling. The hardwired profile was an improvement on the generic INM approach profile because it allowed the correct placement the typical level segment on standard approach. The
6、 INM coefficient-based performance model has since been improved to model deceleration segments better. The basic coefficient model embodied in SAE AIR 1845 was validated for the Boeing fleet in previous NASA funded research work. III. OBJECTIVE The general performance coefficient model used in the
