4、 Association (AWWA) standard. It is not a specification. AWWA standards describe minimum requirements and do not contain all of the engineering and administrative information normally contained in specifications. The AWWA standards usually contain options that must be evaluated by the user of the st
5、andard. Until each optional feature is specified by the user, the product or service is not fully defined. AWWA publication of a standard does not constitute endorsement of any product or product type, nor does AWWA test, certify, or approve any product. The use of AWWA standards is entirely volunta
6、ry. AWWA standards are intended to represent a consensus of the water supply industry that the product described will provide satisfactory service. When AWWA revises or withdraws this standard, an official notice of action will be placed on the first page of the classified advertising section of Jou
7、rnal AWWA. The action becomes effective on the first day of the month following the month of Journal AWWA publication of the official notice. This include
20、s, but is not limited to, imperfections that result in leakage through the walls, failure to meet the minimum wall-thickness requirement, or failure to meet production tests. 9.Supplier:The party that supplies material or services. A supplier may or may not be the manufacturer. 10.Wash-water trough:
21、Wash-water trough generally refers to a simple structure open at the top, having vertical sidewalls and a round, “V,” or flat bottom, and positioned to carry away backwash water from a filter under free discharge conditions. SECTION 4:REQUIREMENTS Sec. 4.1Information to Be Supplied by the Manufactur
22、er When required, the manufacturer shall submit certified drawings showing the principal dimensions, construction details, and materials used for the fabrication. Work shall be done in accordance with these certified drawings. Sec. 4.2Materials Materials shall comply with the requirements of the Saf
23、e Drinking Water Act and other federal requirements. 4.2.1Resin. 4.2.1.1Type I (general-purpose) fabrications.The resin for Type I fabrica- tions shall be a commercial-grade polyester thermosetting resin that has been evaluated in a laminate and is acceptable for the service conditions. 4.2.1.2Type
24、II (chemical-resistant) fabrications.The resin for Type II fabri- cations shall be a commercial-grade, chemical-resistant polyester thermosetting resin that has been evaluated in a laminate and is acceptable for the service conditions. 4.2.2Fillers and additives. 4.2.2.1Type I (general-purpose) fabr
