It supersedes BS B 29:1991, which is withdrawn. This new edition incorporates technical changes only. It does not represent a fu
8、ll review or revision of the standard, which will be undertaken in due course. The following changes have been included in this edition of the standard. A new subclause 3.4 has been added, specifying the requirements for parts; in Table 1, line 6.1, the quenching details have been modified, in Table
9、 1, line 15, an omitted elongation value has been added under “Use condition”, and in Table 1, line 19, “k” has been specified. WARNING. 13、ium alloy supplied in the form of strip and foil. The material is supplied in the solution treated and cold rolled condition for precipitation treatment after conversion into parts. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, con

16、hnical requirements 3.1 Material to this standard shall conform to the technical requirements specified in Table 1. All material supplied shall conform to the requirements appropriate to its dimensions and condition as specified in the standards given in lines 5 and 96 of Table 1. 3.2 Symbols and un
17、its used in Table 1 shall be interpreted in accordance with BS 5555 and BS 5775-0. NOTEThe format of Table 1 and the symbols used in this table are derived from prEN 4500-1:1996. 3.3 For the purposes of this standard, a batch is defined as material of the same nominal cross-sectional dimensions, fro
