A W A standards describe minimum requirements and do not contain all of the engineering and administrative information normally contained in specifications. The AWWA standards usually contain options that must be evaluated by the user of the standard. Until

12、n, Secretary Consumer Members S.K. Batra, Detroit Water either method A or method B. For method A, the minimum strength shall not be less than 250 psi (1,725 Wa). For method B, the peel strength shall not be less than 75 lb/in. (13.2 N/mm). 4.4.8.1.2 The flexural strength of the resilient arm shall
13、demonstrate the capability of withstanding 1 million cycles without visible distortion, wear, or cracking. Each cycle shall consist of operating a dry disc from the fully seated position to the fully open position and back to the fully seated position with a power actuator while in a horizontal orie
14、ntation. After the cycling, a valve with the cycled disc shall be given a seat test in accordance with Sec. 5 . 2 . 2 . Following the test, the disc shall be inspected and exhibit no distortion, excessive wear, or visible cracking. 4.4.8.2 Metal arm type. Hinge pins used with metal hinge arms shall
15、be made of bronze or stainless steel. Free relative rotation shall be accomplished using corrosion-resistant materials surrounding the pin either where it passes through the hinges or at the end bearings of the pin. 4.4.9 Side plugs. Side plugs, if used, shall be made of gray iron, malleable iron, d
16、uctile iron, steel, or bronze. SWING-CHECK VALVES FOR WATERWORKS SERVICE 13 4.4.10 Bolting. Bolts, studs, and nuts shall develop at least the mechanical properties requirements of ASTM A307 and may be of any dimension listed in ANSU ASME B18.2.1 or ANSUASME B18.2.2. 4.4.11 Coating. Interior ferrous
17、surfaces, except finished or bearing surfaces, shall be coated with a material specified in Sec. 4.3.2.7. Exterior surfaces, except fasteners, shall be supplied with a coat of the manufacturers standard shop primer. Consult the manufacturer for compatibility with topcoat materials. 4.4.11.1 Special
