21、4:2008 EN 13094:2008 (E) 4 Foreword This document (EN 13094:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 296 “Tanks for transport of dangerous goods”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
22、 an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CENELEC shall not
23、 be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 13094:2004. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports the objectives of the framework Directives on Tran
24、sport of Dangerous Goods 1 and 2. This European Standard has been submitted for reference into the RID and/or in the technical Annexes of the ADR. Compared to EN 13094:2004, the following modifications have been made: a) Subclause 6.8 Design stress: new form of protection was added; b) Revision of s
25、ubclause 6.10 Shell openings, neckrings and closures; c) Subclause 6.14.2 Minimum requirements: Adoption of new forms of protection for service equipment mounted on the tank top; d) Updating of references, to welding standards in particular; e) Correction of literal mistakes. 28、es requirements for the design and construction of metallic tanks with a maximum working pressure not exceeding 50 kPa gauge used for the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail for which Tank Code with letter “G” is given in chapter 3.2 of ADR 2. It also includes requirements for a system of
29、identification of materials used in the construction of these tanks. This European Standard specifies requirements for openings, closures and structural equipment. NOTE 1 This document does not specify requirements for service equipment. This European Standard is applicable to aircraft refuellers th
30、at are used on public roads. It is also applicable to inter- modal tanks (e.g. tank containers and tank swap bodies) for the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail.
