26、TDID (see normative reference). 4 Requirements This section is provided to give clarification and further explanation to the usage of segments within the message structure. Under accepted commercial practice in many industries, a purchase order, subsequent to being received by the seller, is acknowl
27、edged by a response document indicating the sellers acceptance of all, or part, or none of the buyers order, and indicating where appropriate any changes requested by the seller to be made to the order to fulfil that order. Any change requested by the seller is acknowledged by the buyer by transmitt
28、ing a new purchase order or a purchase order change message. A response message may contain acknowledgement, confirmation and amendments proposal in combination within the same message by using the appropriate qualifiers in BGM and subsequent LIN segments. Where there are multiple line items, and th
29、e positioning cannot be established through the use of given values in data element 1082 (line item number), all line items must be re-transmitted solely to establish the relative position of the line item. Data required for re-transmission, for this purpose, can be sent in truncated form by use of
30、the “not amended” value coded in data element 1229. 4.1 Data segment clarification This section should be read in conjunction with the branching diagram and the segment table which indicate mandatory, conditional and repeating requirements. For guidance, the following principles serve to remove ambi
31、guity in the application of an EDI Purchase Order Response. All specified dates/times should in the format “yymmdd”/“hhmm” unless all parties involved in the transaction agree that there is a functional requirement for an alternative format. Periods should be specified as whole numbers representing
32、the required period as indicated in the format qualifier (weeks, months etc.). Where a choice of code or text is given only the code element should be used wherever possible. Conditional data that is not required in the message should not be included. Care must be taken that the segment qualifier in
33、 dependent segments do not conflict with the segment qualifier of the trigger segment of a group. Free text information within the message should be avoided as this inhibits automatic processing. 1) Information about sources of supply can be obtained by WE/EB Secretariat CEC DG III B/5, rue de la Lo

35、e sequence as the ORDERS and ORDCHG messages to which it is used to respond. The actual use of these segments in the ORDRSP message is dependent upon the value of the MESSAGE FUNCTION CODE (D/E 1225) of the BGM segment. See 4.2.3. UNH, Message header A service segment starting and uniquely identifyi

DTM, Date/time/period A segment specifying general dates and, when relevant, times related to the whole message. Th
38、e segment must be specified at least once to identify the order response date. Examples of the use of this DTM segment are: lead times that apply to the whole of the order response and, if no schedule is to be specified, the delivery date. The date/time/period segment within other segment groups sho

PAI, Payment instructions A segment requesting or confirming conditions of payment, guarantee and method of payment for the whole o

FTX, Free text A segment with free text information, in coded or clear form, used when additional information is needed but cannot be accommodated within other segments. In computer to computer exchanges such text will

It is recommended that where possible only the coded form of the party ID should be specified, e.g. The buyer and seller are known to each other, thus only the coded ID is required, but the
