8、00 2006, Uncontrolled Copy, (c) BSI BS EN 232:1992 ii BSI 11-1999 National foreword This British Standard has been prepared under the direction of the Sanitary Appliances Standards Policy Committee and is the English language version of EN 232:1990 Baths Connecting dimensions, published by the Europ
9、ean Committee for Standardization (CEN). EN 232 was produced as a result of European discussion in which the UK took an active part. The UK voted against this standard at Formal Vote Stage but the analysis of voting, in accordance with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations resulted in a positive vote
10、. In consequence the document was accepted as a European Standard. The UK is therefore bound to implement this European Standard giving it the status of a national standard and has to withdraw all conflicting standards. The following British Standards are being amended as a result of the publication
11、 of this standard: BS 1182, BS 1390 and BS 4305-2. NOTEIn Figure 6, Figure 7 and Figure 8, on the sectional drawing “30” should read “25” and in Figure 7 and Figure 8 on view A “65” should read “60”. This corrected information will appear in the new European Standard referred to in the paragraph bel
12、ow. A new European Standard for baths is being developed by the Technical Committee CEN/TC 163, scheduled for publication in 1993, that will supersede this and other standards on the subject. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British
13、Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations.
