7、, “Safety of household and similar electrical appliances: Part 2: Particular requirements for stationary circulation pumps for heating and service water installations” published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It was derived by that organization from IEC Pub
8、lication 335-2-51 (1988) first edition, which has the same title as the European Standard. The CENELEC Common Modifications have been implemented at the appropriate places in the text of IEC Publication 335-2-51 (1988) first edition, and are indicated by a single side line in the margin. The forewor
9、d and preface of IEC Publication 335-2-51 (1988) first edition and the deleted parts of the original IEC text which do not form part of the text of EN 60335-2-51 have been quoted in National appendix NA. Annexes designated “normative” are part of the body of the standard. Annexes designated “informa
10、tive” are given for information only. National appendices are designated “informative”. This British Standard is to be read in conjunction with BS 3456-201:1990 “General requirements”, which it supplements or modifies. The many references to Part 1 should be read as references to BS 3456-201, which
11、is the English language version of EN 60335-1 which was derived from the 1983 reprint of IEC Publication 335-1 (1976) second edition including Amendments 1, 2 and 3 to IEC 335-1. This British Standard supersedes BS 1394-1:1987 which is withdrawn in accordance with the CENELEC Internal Regulations. P

24、51:1991 BSI 04-1999 2 Brief history The proposal to endorse the first edition of IEC Publication 335-2-51, document CLC/TC 61 (SEC) 551, was circulated under the enquiry procedure in April 1987. This proposal was discussed during the Brussels meeting in November 1988 when it was decided to submit a
25、draft for EN 60335-2-51 to the voting procedure. This procedure started in October 1989. The text of this draft was ratified by the CENELEC Technical Board on the 11th of June 1990. Foreword This European Standard has been prepared by the Secretariat of CENELEC Technical Committee 61. The following
26、dates are applicable: For products which have complied with the relevant national standard before 1993-03-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a certification body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until 1998-03-01. This document supplements or modifies the corresponding
27、 clauses of IEC 335-2-51:1988, so as to convert that standard into the European Standard EN 60335-2-51. This standard has to be used in conjunction with EN 60335-1:1988, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances, Part 1: General requirements, including its amendments A2:1988, A5:1989 and
28、 A6:1989. Where a particular subclause of Part 1 is not mentioned in this Part 2, that subclause applies as far as is reasonable. Where this standard states “addition”, “modification” or “replacement”, the relevant text of Part 1 is to be adapted accordingly. Subclauses which are in addition to thos
29、e in IEC 335-1 are numbered starting with 101. There are no special national conditions (snc) causing a deviation from this European Standard other than those listed in Annex ZX to EN 60335-1. 36、tems or in service water systems, and having a rated input not exceeding 300 W. Pumps not intended for normal household use, but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as pumps intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of t
37、his standard, but only if they have a rated input not exceeding 300 W. This standard does not take into account the special hazards which exist in nurseries and other places where there are young children or aged or infirm persons without supervision; in such cases, additional requirements may be ne
38、cessary. This standard does not apply to: pumps within the scope of EN 60335-2-41; pumps designed exclusively for industrial purposes; pumps intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour, or gas); pumps fo
39、r circulating liquids other than water. For pumps intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. For pumps intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be necessary. Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries
40、 additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities and the national authority responsible for the protection of labour. 2 Definitions This clause of Part 1 is applicable, except as follows: 2.2.30 Replacement: normal load denotes the load obtained when the pump is operated as
41、in normal use, at rated voltage or at the upper limit of the rated voltage range, with the maximum mechanical load within the limits specified by the manufacturer. Additional definition: 2.2.101 Pump denotes the combination of the mechanical part, the hydraulic part and the electrical part of the ap
42、pliance. The hydraulic part and the electrical part may be contained in the same housing in such a way that the water circulated flows through the motor and serves as a coolant, or the hydraulic part and the electrical part may be separated, by using either separate housings or a seal between the pa
43、rts contained in the same housing, in such a way that the water circulated cannot enter the motor. If the hydraulic part and the electrical part are contained in separate housings, these parts may be coupled mechanically or magnetically. In all cases, the motor may or may not be totally enclosed. 3
44、General requirement This clause of Part 1 is applicable. 4 General notes on tests This clause of Part 1 is applicable, except as follows: 4.2 Addition: The test of Sub-clause 18.2 may be made on a separate sample. 4.5 Addition: For pumps intended to be located within the enclosure of a boiler, the a
45、mbient temperature is maintained between 55 C and 60 C, if the test results are influenced by the temperature of the ambient air. The water temperature at the inlet of the pump is maintained at the value appropriate to the class marked on the pump, within a tolerance ofC 5 Rating This clause of Part
46、 1 is applicable, except as follows: Additional sub-clause: 5.101 The maximum system pressure is not less than: 0.6 MPa (6 bar) for pumps for heating systems, 1.0 MPa (10 bar) for pumps for service water systems.
