11、1995 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Part 2: Particular requirements for wet and dry vacuum cleaners, including power brush, for industrial and commercial use, including corrigendum March 1998, published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).
12、It is based on IEC 335-2-69:1992 published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), which has the same title as the European Standard. The CENELEC common modifications have been implemented at the appropriate places in the text and are indicated by a side line in the margin. The forew
13、ord of EN 60335-2-69 makes reference to the date of withdrawal (dow) of the relevant national standard. In this case the relevant national standard is BS 5415-2.2:1986 which will be withdrawn on 1998-01-01. Certificates or marks will not be awarded after this date with respect to the withdrawn Briti
14、sh Standard. However such certificates and marks already awarded may apply to production until 2003-01-01. This British Standard is to be read in conjunction with BS 3456-201:1990 General requirements including only those amendments shown in the following table marked with an asterisk which suppleme
15、nt and modify BS 3456-201. The interrelationships of the amendments to IEC 335-1:1976, EN 60335-1:1988 and BS 3456-201:1990 are also shown in the table. This proposal was discussed during the Oslo meeting in April 1
33、994, when it was decided to submit a draft for EN 60335-2-69 to the voting procedure. This draft was circulated in October 1994 and was ratified by CENELEC as EN 60335-2-69 on 1995-07-04. This European Standard has been prepared by the secretariat of CENELEC Technical Committee TC 61. The following
34、dates are applicable: For products which have complied with the relevant national standard before 1998-01-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a certification body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until 2003-01-01. This standard has to be used in conjunction with EN 603

45、with a power input up to 10 kW and includes appliances and stationary equipment specifically designed for wet suction, dry suction, or wet and dry suction for industrial and commercial use with or without attachments, for example for suction to withdraw dust or the like from work benches and product
46、ion machines. Commercial uses are for example for use in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops and offices for other than normal housekeeping purposes. It is under consideration that this standard also applies to machines handling hazardous dust, for example asbestos or liquids for which addi
47、tional requirements apply. This standard does not take into account the special hazards which exist in nurseries and other places where there are young children or aged or infirm persons without supervision; in such cases, additional requirements may be necessary. This standard does not apply to: ap
48、pliances for household and similar use to which EN 60 335-2-2 applies; centrally sited stationary vacuum cleaning systems; appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas). For appliances i
49、ntended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. For appliances intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be necessary. Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities and the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour. 2 Definitions This clause of Part 1 is applicable except as follows: 2.2.30 Replacement: The normal load Pm of the vacuum
