It is identical with ISO 1234:1997. It supersedes BS 7724:1994 which is declared obsolescent. The UK participation in its prepa
3、ration was entrusted by Technical Committee FME/9, Bolts, nuts and accessories, to Subcommittee FME/9/6, General puropse fasteners and accessories, which has the responsibility to: aid enquirers to understand the text; present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the
4、interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed; monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the UK. 15、ries”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 1998, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 1998. According

19、of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. I
20、nternational organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical

33、Each leg of the split pin shall be capable of withstanding being bent back upon itself once, with no visible indication of fracture occuring at the point of bend. Surface finishPlain i.e. parts to be supplied in natural finish, treated with a protective lubricant, or with other coatings as agreed be
34、tween customer and supplier. For electroplated coatings, see ISO 4042. For phosphate coating see ISO 9717. WorkmanshipPins shall be free of burrs, irregularities and detrimental defects. The eye shall be as circular as possible. The cross-section of the two straight legs together shall be circular.
