8、age version of EN 60704-2-3:1994 Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise emitted by household and similar electrical appliances. Part 2: Particular requirements for dishwashers, published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It is based on IE
9、C 704-2-3:1987 (including corrigendum December 1989), published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), with the common modifications agreed as A1:1990 to HD 423-2-3 S1:1989. This standard should be read in conjunction with BS EN 60704-1:1995. It supplements or modifies the correspon
10、ding clauses of Part 1. When a particular subclause is not mentioned in this standard, the subclause in Part 1 is applicable. Where this standard states “addition”, “modification” or “replacement”, the relevant requirement, test specification or explanatory matter in Part 1 should be amended accordi
11、ngly. This standard supersedes BS 6686-2.3:1991 (which implemented CENELEC HD 423.2.3 S1 including amendment 1) which is withdrawn. This standard is related to Directive 86/594/EEC. Product certification. Users of this British Standard are advised to consider the desirability of third party certific
12、ation of product conformity with this British Standard based on testing and continuing surveillance, which may be coupled with assessment of a suppliers quality systems against the appropriate standard in the BS EN ISO 9000 series. 32、d in this Part 2 simulate the practical use of dishwashers as far as possible, taking into account steadiness of the noise emitted and reproducibility in different laboratories. To avoid unsteadiness caused by foaming, the test must be run with unsoiled load and without detergents or rinsing aids. D
33、ishwashers intended to be built in or under a counter are built in an appropriate cabinet, and machines to be used on a counter are to be so tested on a counter. It is recommended to consider noise data as part of performance tests. 1 Scope and object This clause of Part 1 applies except as follows:
34、 1.1 Scope Replacement: These particular requirements apply to single unit electric dishwashers for household and similar use, with and without automatic programme control, for cold and (or) hot water supply, for detachable or permanent connection to water supply or sewage systems, intended for plac
35、ing on the floor against a wall, for building in or placing under a counter, a kitchen work-top or under a sink, for wall-mounting or on a counter. Limitations for the use of this test code are given in the scope of IEC Publication 704-1. 1.2 Object Addition: Requirements for the declaration of nois
36、e emission values are not within the scope of this standard. 41、ical environments This clause of Part 1 is applicable except as follows: 4.1 General information Addition: NOTE 1For measuring the noise emission of dishwashers, the direct method of Sub-clause 4.2 and the comparison method of Sub-clause 4.3 are applicable as well as the free-field conditions over a
42、 reflecting plane of Sub-clause 4.4.1 and special reverberation rooms of Sub-clause 4.4.2. The comparison method in a special reverberation room is preferable. NOTE 2Information on determination of equivalent continuous A-weighted sound power level is given in Appendix A of this standard. 4.2 Direct

45、ble except as follows: 6.1 Equipping and pre-conditioning of appliances 6.1.3 Replacement: Prior to noise measurements the appliance shall have been in operation for at least two complete cycles as specified by the manufacturers instruction using the cycle for most difficult soil for normal tablewar
46、e, with or without a load with tableware and supplied with cold water without detergent or rinse agents. If necessary, inner surfaces of the appliance and filters shall be cleaned. 6.1.4 Not applicable. 6.2 Supply of electric energy and of water or gas 6.2.1 Addition: NOTEIf the rated voltage differ
47、s from the nominal system voltage of the country concerned, measurements carried out at rated voltage may be misleading. In this case, additional measurements at nominal system voltage are necessary. 6.2.2 Not applicable. 6.2.3 Addition: Appliances designed for hot water supply only may be supplied
48、with cold water if this will not influence noise emission. 6.2.4 Replacement: The pressure of supply water shall be within the range indicated by the manufacturer and shall be stated in the measurement report. Dishwashers designed for cold or hot water supply shall be supplied with cold water at 15
49、5 C, and shall be operated in the cold water mode. The water hardness may be neglected. 6.4 Loading and operating of appliances 6.4.2 Replacement: The determination of noise emission of the dishwasher may be restricted to the periods of the main program parts wash and clean-rinse; functions separated from these main program parts as for example “water supply” or “pumping” have to be reported in addition if their noise emission exceeds the sound power level of the main program parts and if their noise can be considered as steady for a dura
