11、cal properties and inspection and test requirements for a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel (iron base, Ni 1.75, Cr 1.25, Mo 1, V 0.2) supplied in the following forms and as parts for general aerospace use. a) Forging stock, designation S 163A, columns 2, 3 and 4 of Table 1. b) Forgings, des
12、ignation S 163C, columns 5, 6 and 7 of Table 1. c) Black bars for machining, designation S 163B, columns 8, 9 and 10 of Table 1. d) Bright bars for machining, designation S 163D, columns 11, 12 and 13 of Table 1. 2 References This standard makes reference to the following standards publications: BS
13、S 100, Procedure for inspection and testing of wrought steels (other than sheet, strip and tubes). BS EN 2500, Guidelines for the preparation and use of standards for metallic materials1). 3 Technical requirements 3.1 The material in its delivery and use conditions shall comply with Table 1, the for
14、mat and nomenclature of which comply with BS EN 2500. 3.2 This standard shall be used in conjunction with BS S 100, as given in Table 1, or as given in 3.3 to 3.8. 3.3 One sample from the top and bottom of each ingot shall be taken for sulphur printing or deep etching tests. 3.4 The material shall b
15、e overall dressed. 3.5 Before rehardening, the material shall be softened. 3.6 Material shall not be hardened and tempered more than two times. 3.7 Parts finally heat treated after machining shall comply with sections 1 and 7 of BS S 100. 3.8 Parts shall be supplied in the hardened and tempered cond
