12、trolled Copy, (c) BSI ISO 3616:2001(E) iv Foreword ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member
13、body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electr
14、otechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
15、Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this International Standard may be the subject of patent rights. ISO shall not be held responsible for identifying any o

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 3616:1977), in which the title and scope clause have been reword

The regularity of thickness of a mat must be measured on a single layer and with apparatus with a much smaller contact area than that specified in this International Standard. 3.2 thickness under load the th

26、 layers of mats, having a total thickness of at least 5 mm, is measured under a specified light pressure. The average thickness is calculated by dividing the value obtained by the number of layers in the pile. The distance between the outer surfaces of the pile is measured both during the applicatio

The thickness under pressure and the recovery after compression, respectively, are calculated by dividing the two values obtained by the number of layers in the pile and expressing the results as a

Ensure that the axis of the micrometer foot is perpendicular to plate A. 9.2Record the dial-gauge reading, h1, in millimetres, to the nearest 0,1 mm. 9.3Remove plate A.
41、 9.4Place four test specimens, cut from the same test sample, one above the other on the base-plate and with two adjacent sides contacting the positioning jig (5.6). 9.5Cover them with plate A, aligning this too in the positioning jig. 9.6With the micrometer foot resting on plate A, record the dial-

Repeat steps 9.5 and 9.6 to obtain a new value for h2(to be used in the calculation). 9.8Place steel plate B (5.8)
43、on top of plate A, aligning it with the positioning jig. 9.9Allow 10 s to elapse and then, with the micrometer foot passing through the cut-out in plate B and resting on plate A, record the new dial gauge reading, h3, in millimetres, to the nearest 0,1 mm. 9.10Immediately after taking the reading, r
