5、d by the following information: 3.1.1 Qualification Inspection Tests: The qualification tests are prescribed in Table I herein for the qualification of the entire subfamily of switches covered by this Detail Specification. Either gull wing, J-bend or I-type terminations can be used for qualification
6、, but switches must have 8 poles. 3 . 4 . 5 Lot-By-Lot Inspection Tests: The lot-by-lot inspection tests are prescribed in Table II herein. 3 . 4 . 6 Periodic Inspection Tests: The periodic inspection tests are prescribed in Table III herein. SECTION FOUR - TEST METHODS AND REQUIREMENTS General The

9、ape top seals shall be supplied with contacts i n the closed position and seals i n place for Group A, the solderability test of Group B, and the machine soldering test of Group C of Qualification Test Table I. These seals may be removed for a l l other qualification tests. Insulation resistance and
10、 voltage proof measurement i n Group A only w i l l be made between adjacent poles (the closed circuit prevents taking these readings across open contacts). Switch Resistance Contact resistance is t o be measured between the two terminals associated with each switch pole, and shall not exceed 20 mil
11、liohms i n i t i a l l y and i n Qualification Groups A and C, and 100 milliohms i n Qualification Groups B, D, E and Periodic Test Group B. Insulation Resistance Insulation resistance shall be measured at 100 2 5 Vdc, and at stan- dard atmospheric conditions. Insulation resistance shall not be less
12、 than 1000 megohms. Voltage Proof Voltage proof measurements shall be made with an applied voltage of 500 Vac (rms). Maximum allowable leakage current is 500 microamperes. The switch shall withstand the test voltage without sustained arcing, breakdown, or damage t o insulation. Vibration Vibration t
13、esting shall be i n accordance with EIA 186-8 Type III. Strength of Terminations Strength of terminations shall be tested i n accordance with EIA-186-6 with a 1.1 pound load on a minimum of three randomly selected terminals on each specimen. Electrical Endurance The electrical endurance test shall b
14、e run with one-half of the specimens tested i n accordance with Test 8-4 (logic load) and one-half of the specimens tested i n accordance with T e s t 8-5 (low level load). The number of cycles shall be 2000, and no sticks or misses are allowed. Capacitance The maximum allowable capacitance shall be
15、 5 picofarads. Machine Soldering (Vapor Phase) The machine soldering test shall be run i n accordance with EIA 448-19 of t h i s specification, and with Method A (immersion) cleaning using a l l four solutions. After the test, there shall be good solder connections, no externally visible indication
16、of leakage, contact resistance shall be i n accordance with 4.5.1, and insulation resistance shall be i n accordance with 4.5.2, and a l l marking shall be readable.
