SECIION THREE - QUALITY ASSES
15、SMENT PROCEDURES . The quality assessment procedures are described in Section Three of EIA-540A000. 4 SECTION FOUR - TEST METHODS AND REQUIREMENTS The test methods and requirements are prescribed in Section Four of EIA-540AOOO and are supplemented with Table 1 and the information given herein. 4.1 N
16、ormal Force Due to various socket configurations and contact designs, different fixturing techniques may be required. Contacts may be tested unassembled or assembled in their housing. I f tested assembled in the housing the contact location must be noted. f 4.2 Maximum Mating Force The mating force
17、shall be 3.34 N (340 grams-force) maximum per contact to mate a 8) simulated maximum Chip Carrier package into a socket. The force shall be measured using the following procedure: a. The socket shall be mounted to a test board and the maximum gauge, see Figure 5, shall be mounted in a suitable fixtu
18、re. b. With the maximum gauge positioned to enter into the socket, a force shall be applied to the gauge in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the test board. A force gauge of suitable range should be used so that readings will be in the middle 50% of the scale, where practicable, with a no
19、minal full scale accuracy of f2%. c. The force shall be applied at a rate of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) f 10% per minute until the maximum gauge is bottomed in the socket.
