2、 of 4 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS WSS-M99P1111-A 1. SCOPE This document defines the Standard Requirements for Production Materials. 2. APPLICATION The following requirements apply to all Production Materials except as noted. This Standard is reissued (with or without revision) in
3、the first quarter of each calendar year. The applicable version is the document with the current year shown in the revision box page 1. 3. REQUIREMENTS Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identif
4、ied in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. Steels shall meet the heat treatment requirements of WHTX and Embrittlement Avoidance requirements of WSS-M99A3-A. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Re
5、quirements. In order for materials to comply with the requirements of the material specification they shall be sourced from suppliers listed on the Ford Motor Company Approved Source List. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS (applies to Non-Metallic Materials) Ford Motor Company,
6、at its discretion, may establish and maintain IR spectra and thermograms for initial approval of materials such as, but not limited to, plastics and elastomers. When established, these IR spectra and thermograms shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated mate
7、rial laboratory. The material supplier shall ensure that all future material supplied to the specification shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS (applies to Non-Metallic Materials
8、) All test values are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 9、ncontrolled Copyright 2007, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 2 of 4 3.4 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requirements beyond those explicitly stated in this document and the material specification may be specified on the Engineering drawing, Engineering parts specification, performance specification, Syste
10、m Design Specification (SDS) and/or Component Design Specification (CDS). 3.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether
11、or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Product Development Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering A
12、pproval, SREA. Upon notification, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers shall provide process capability data, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plan and samples (if requested) demonstrating compliance to the specification. In addition any change to the Control
13、Plan, including frequency of tests, must be reviewed and signed off by a Product Development Materials Engineering representative. 3.6 REGRIND Regrind requirements apply to materials supplied for North American Production 3.6.1 Regrind usage (polymeric materials) The use of regrind in plastic parts
