Edition 2 of HD22 was implemented on 1 st January 1984, and at that time contained four parts. Since 1984, new parts have been published, origin
18、al parts amended, and in addition HD 505 has superseded HD 385 as the cross-reference for test methods. This reprint of the 4 parts of Edition 2 of HD22 incorporates all ratified amendments and the change to HD 505. The new parts of HD22, which are Edition 1 versions, already incorporate the change

29、LUDING 450/750V Part 4 : Cords and Flexible cables Scope This part (Part 4) of the HO details the particular specifications for EPR insulated and braided cords and for EPR insulated and EPR, rubber or polychloroprene or other equivalent synthetic elastomer sheathed cords and flexible cables of rated
30、 voltages up to and including 450/750V. All cables shall comply with the appropriate requirements given in Part 1 and the individual types of cable shall each comply with the particular requirements of this Part. 31、ion 2.3.1 Conductor Number of conductors : 2 or 3 The conductors shall comply with the requirements given in HD 383 : Conductors of Insulated Cables, for Class 5 conductors, except that the values of the maximum resistance of conductor at 2OoC shall be increased by 3%. 32、ed. 2.3.2 SeDarator A separator of suitable material may be applied around each conductor. 2.3.3 Insulation The insulation shall be rubber compound of Type E 1 4 applied around each conductor. The insulation shall be applied by extrusion. The insulation thickness shall comply with the specified valu

36、r layers one core coloured brown and the other cores coloured black. 6.3.5 Assemblv of cores and filler, if any The cores shall be twisted together. A centre core is not permitted. A protective conductor, if any, shall be applied in the outer layer. A centre filler may be used, and is however compul
37、sory for cables having 6, 18, and 36 cores, and also for 7 and 19 cores when these non-preferred sizes are used. The centre filler shall consist of a suitable material. A tape of suitable material may be applied around the core assembly before application of the sheath. 6.3.6 Sheath The core assembl
38、y shall be covered with a sheath. The sheath shall be applied either in a single layer, rubber compound EM2, or in two layers, with the inner layer made of either rubber compound EM1 or EM3 and the outer layer of rubber compound EM2. The application of a tape between the two layers is optional. The
39、thickness of sheath shall comply with the specified value given in part 4 Table IX columns 3, 4 and 5. The sheath in a single layer or the inner layer of the sheath in two layers shall fill the spaces between the cores. The sheath shall be capable of being removed, without damage to the cores. 6.3.7
40、 Overall Diameter The mean overall diameter shall be within the upper limits given in Part 4 Table IX Column 7. The lower limit given in Part 4, Table IX, Column 6 shall be regarded as an indicative value only and not a requirement for compliance with this specification. 6.3.8 Outer markinas At leas
41、t the designatory marking RN shall be printed or embossed on, or indented into, the polychloroprene sheath. The marking shall be continuous, in accordance with Part 1 , sub-clause 3.1.1 I 6.4 Tests Compliance with the requirements of Part 4, Sub-clause 6.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the t

For the assembly coefficients the values given in IEC 71 9, first edition have been used. (2) Single layer sheath thicknesses for “non-preferred“ sizes of cable may also be calculated usin

If equivalent thicknesses are required for two-layer constructions, the value for a single layer shall be divided 40% (inner) and 60% (outer) rounded to the nearest 0.1 mm. (3) For the calculation of the lower and upper limits of the mean overall diameters the formula give
