1、Test Procedure Laboratory GMW7294 Determination of Squeak and Rattle Rating Complete Vehicle and Subsystem/Component 1 Introduction Note: Nothing in this procedure supersedes applica- ble laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. Note: In the event of a conflict between the
2、 English and the domestic language, the English language will take precedence. 1.1 Purpose. Determination of the Squeak & Rat- tle Rating of complete vehicles or subsystems/com- ponents, basedonsubjectivelyorobjectivelydetected and rated individual complaints. 1.2 Foreword. In order to assure the co
3、mparability and reproducibility of a Squeak & Rattle overall rating for complete vehicles or subsystems/components, it shall be calculated from the summation of individual complaints. The method can be applied both to de- termine an overall rating for a single evaluated vehicle and to determine the
4、overall rating for subsystems or components. Fortheoverallvehicleratingalldetected complaints of the evaluated vehicle shall be consid- ered for the calculation. The rating for a subsystem or a component is based on the ratings of all detected complaints for a definite number of subsystems/com- pone
5、nts (Please refer 4.3.2 for details). 1.3 Applicability. Applicable to all evaluations of ve- hicles, subsystems and components on a noise test stand according to: Subsystem:GMW7293,GMN7060*,GME L/R-0-38* (* Subsystem Test in a Vehicle) Vehicle:GMN7060, GME L/R-0-38, NVHS-TM- 06-00, R.AV.00145, or H
6、4650 & H4662 1.4 Definitions. 1.4.1 S & R Noises. S & R noises are characterized by the following: -Noise is perceived as disturbing -Noise does not necessarily occur during operation of vehicle or subsystem/component -Noise is created by relative movement of at least two parts 2 References Note: On

9、le. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. Referto relevantTest Procedurefor vehicle or subsystem/component. 4.2 Conditions. Refer to relevant Test Procedure for vehicle or subsystem/component. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. Refer to relevant Test Procedure for vehicle or subsystem/component. 4.2.2 Test Cond
10、itions. Deviations from the require- ments of this procedure shall have been agreedupon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.3 Instructions. Test shall be performed according to the stipulations of the relevant Test Procedure for complete ve

Refer to Test Procedures for com- plete vehicle or subsystem/component for the rating conditions (distance from the source of noise, seat- ing position in vehicle, etc.).Also record the exci- tation that induced the noise
13、(driving on even road, simulated rough road conditions, door closing, etc.). If a complaint is discovered under several vehicle or subsystem/component test conditions, only the rating with the highest individual number of complaint points is used to determine the overall rating. 4.3.1 Complete Vehic
14、le.To determine the overall rating of a complete vehicle take into account all com- plaints reported for this vehicle under the specified testconditions. Dueto the variedculturalnature of dif- ferentregions, squeakandrattleissuesmightberated differently from country to country.In order to en- compas
15、s these differences two different algorithms, namely OPEL and GMNA, have been presented in this procedure. Global partners are free to use one of the two algorithms to calculate the overall vehicle rat- ing, provided they clearly indicate the algorithm used. 4.3.2 Subsystem/Component.To determine th
16、e overall rating for a subsystem/component it is nec- essary to conduct the above described test on multiple subsystems/components of a build phase (if available on different variants) in a vehicle.The number of subsystems/components tested beyond which no appreciable change in the complaints ( and/
