4、uum conditions and installed in ships, vessels and floating structures. This Standard does not apply to marine internal combustion engines, fixture, refrigerating machinery, special power installation articles related to the main circuit heat-carrier, to the articles operating with toxic and explosi
5、ve mediums, and to assembled marine pipelines and systems. The main concepts and definitions used in this Standard are specified in the reference appendix. 1. NORMS OF TRIAL PRESSURE FOR STRENGTH TEST 1.1. Hydraulic strength test shall be carried out for all assembly units and parts of marine machin
6、es, mechanisms, boilers, vessels and apparatus (hereinafter referred to as marine articles) whose walls in the operating condition are under the effect of the pressure difference inside and outside the article, except for the assembly units that have expanded composite joints and the assembly units
7、with detachable joints. The trial pressure (tr) for the strength test of the assembly units and parts material shall comply with that specified in tables 1 to 6. 1.3. The trial pressure for intermediate values of the design pressure and the working medium tempera
9、ture shall be determined by linear interpolation. 1.4. The assembly units and parts made of aluminum alloys and operating at a working medium (metal) temperature of no more than 250 shall be tested for strength under the pressure tr = 1.5 des. 1.5. The assembly units and parts made of copper-nickel
10、alloys operating at a working medium (metal) temperature of no more 350 shall be tested for strength under the pressure tr = 1.5 des. 1.4 and 1.5. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 3). 1.6. The trial pressure (tr) value for the strength test of assembly units and parts whose nominal stress at a trial
11、pressure determined in tables 1 to 6 or clauses 1.4 and 1.5 is more than 0.9 (the yield strength of the structure material) or whose material cannot be related by its properties to none of the groups specified in tables 1 to 6 and clauses 1.4 and 1.5 shall be calculated using the formula des t 100 t

If the trial pressure for certain marine articles is established in other standards or specifications, the test shall be carrie
13、d out in accordance with the latter. 1.8. If the material of certain parts of a component (assembly units) is less strong than the material of the whole component (assembly unit), or if the working temperature of certain parts of a component is higher than that of the whole component (assembly unit)
14、, the whole component or assembly unit shall be tested under the pressure defined in this Standard for the weakest part of the component (assembly unit). 1.9. Marine articles and also their assembly units and parts operating under the pressure less than 0.1 MPa or in vacuum conditions shall be teste
15、d for strength under hydraulic pressure tr = 0.2 MPa. 1.10. Heat-exchange apparatus and its elements that have flat walls and operate under the pressure of not more than 0.1 MPa or in vacuum conditions shall be tested for strength under hydraulic pressure tr = 0.125 MPa. 1.11 If it is necessary to c
16、arry out the hydraulic test of assembly units or parts under the trial pressure higher than that specified in tables 1 to 6, a confirmatory structure calculation for pressure arising during the hydraulic test shall precede it.
