2、erm from 01.01.73 to 01.01.95 regarding the first category, until 01.01.90 Failure to comply with this Standard will result in legal proceedings This Standard applies to alloyed construction hot-rolled and forged gauged steel with diameter or thickness up to 250 mm, and steel with a special surface
3、finish, used in a thermally treated condition and produced in the form of bars, strips and hanks. Regarding the standards for chemical composition this Standard applies to all other types of rolled stock, ingots, and forged and punched pieces. The indicators of technological level, established by th
4、is Standard, shall be stipulated for premium and first categories of quality. The rolled stock with standardized quality indicators shall be considered as premium category of quality. (Amended Wording, Amendments Nos. 1, 2 and 4). 1. CLASSIFICATION 1.1. Depending on chemical composition and properti
5、es, structural steel shall be divided into categories: quality; high quality-A; extra high quality-R. Notes: 1. The steel of electroslag remelt shall be considered as extra high quality steel. 2. Depending on the basic alloying elements, steel shall be subdivided into groups: chromium, manganese, chromomanganese, chromosiliceous, chromomolybdenum and chromomolybdenum-vanadium, chromovanadium, nickel-molybdenum, chromonickel and chromonickel with boron, chromosil
7、icomanganese and chromosilicomanganese-nickel, chromomanganese-nickel and chromomanganese-nickel with titanium and boron, chromonickel-molybdenum, chromonickel-molybdenum-vanadium and chromonickel- vanadium, chromoaluminum and chromoaluminum with molybdenum, chromomanganese- nickel with molybdenum a
8、nd titanium. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 3). 1.3. Depending on treatment mode, the steel shall be divided into: hot-rolled and forged (including steel with turned or stripped surface); gauged; round steel with special surface finish. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 2). 1.4. Depending on purpose,
9、 hot-rolled and forged steel shall be divided into subgroups: a for hot working under pressure (except for setting, heading and punching); for cold machine working (turning, gouging, milling, etc.) on the whole surface; #for cold drawing (semi-finished rolled products); #for hot setting, heading and
10、 punching. Notes: 1. By agreement between the manufacturer and the customer the round bars designed for hot working under pressure and cold drawing, shall be produced with turned or stripped surface. 2. By agreement between the manufacturer and the customer the production of rolled stock with surfac
11、e quality of subgroup “a” for hot punching and setting shall be allowed until 01.01.90. (Amended Wording, Amendments Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4). 1.5. Depending on condition of material, the steel shall be produced: without heat treatment; heat-treated-T; cold-hardened-H (for gauged steel and for steel with
12、 special surface finish). (Subsequently Inserted, Amendment No. 2). 2a. ASSORTMENT 2a.1. The steel assortment shall comply with the requirements of GOST 2591-71, GOST 2590-71, GOST 2879-69, GOST 103-76, GOST 1133-71, GOST 7417-75, GOST 8559-75; GOST 8560-78, GOST 14955-77 and other specifications an
13、d technical documentation. -,-,- GOST 4543-71 p. 3 Note. The manufacture of hot-rolled square steel with quadrate side up to 100 mm in compliance with GOST 2591-71 with angles, rounded in radius, not exceeding 0.15 of quadrate side, shall be allowed. Section 2a. (Subsequently Inserted, Amendment No.

Examples of identification numbers: Hot-rolled steel, square, with the quadrate side of 46 mm, of usual rolling accuracy B in compliance with GOST 2591-71, of grade 18O=L, for hot working under pressure (subgroup a), heat-treated T: :478764; :45818X2H4BA 0.50 %; 38X2H2BA 0.30 %;25X2H4BA 0.50 %;
15、 40X2H2BA 0.40 %30XH2BN:#030 %. 7. There shall be allowed the presence of tungsten up to 0.20 %, molybdenum up to 0.15 %, titanium up to 0.03 % (except for steel grades specified in note 4) and vanadium up to 0.05 % in steels, not alloyed with these elements. 8. At the customers request the steel of
16、 grade 6;OG6FN: may be produced with the mass fraction of molybdenum 0.20 to 0.30 %. 9. The mass fraction of nitrogen in basic oxygen steel shall not exceed 0.006 % for thin-sheet rolled stock and strip and shall not exceed 0.008 % for other types of rolled stock. The mass fraction of phosphorus, sulfur, residual copper, nickel and chromium in steel of all grades shall not exceed the standards specified in table 2. The hot-rolled and forged steel shall be produced either in heat-treated condition (annealed, tempered, normalized
23、 or normalized with high-temperature tempering), or without heat treatment, and gauged steel and steel with a special surface finish shall be produced in cold-hardened or heat-treated condition (annealed, tempered, normalized, hardened and tempered). 2.6.
