This section includes the electrical interfaces required for Air Injection Rea
9、ction (AIR), defines the Exhaust Flapper Valve (EFV) interface requirements and defines the powertrain optional requirements to meet Transitional Low Emissions Vehicle (TLEV), Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) and/or Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (ULEV) emissions standards. This function is powertrain optio
10、nal in order to meet TLEV, LEV and/or ULEV emissions standards. The AIR system introduces airflow into the exhaust system to increase oxygen that reacts with the hydrocarbons. This reduces the hydrocarbons from the engine exhaust gas. Exhaust flapper valves are electromechanical actuated valves that
11、 are located in the exhaust system and are controlled by a Platform module. The valve(s) open and close depending on engine speed and loads and are typically used with displacement on demand (DoD) engines. The valves change the exhaust gas path resistance by routing exhaust gases through additional
12、muffler channels. Additional routing will provide reduced exhaust noise during certain known engine loads and conditions. Powertrain and platform functional requirements used for determining the control requirements for the Exhaust Flapper Valve (EFV) control function are listed below: The Powertrai
13、n electronics shall determine and communicate the following information to be used by Platform in determining the state of the EFV relay. Calculate and communicate engine speed to the EFVM. Communicate when Displacement on Demand (DoD) mode is being entered and request Platform (EFVM) to prepare for
14、 DoD event. Perform diagnostic data master functions based on active DTC information transmitted from the EFVM Communicate Legislated OBD II diagnostic information to service tool. Detect and Communicate when erroneous ECM data is present which may impact Platform control of the EFV relay. The Platf
15、orm shall provide the following algorithm interfaces: The control algorithm required to determine when to command the Exhaust Flapper Value opening and closure. A discrete output function to control the state of the EFV relay A PWM input function to read the position of the EFV. Perform appropriate

The interface for AIR consists of discrete AIR Pump Command and AIR Valve Command outputs from
17、the powertrain electronics to two platform relays. The platform relays provide controlled power feeds to the powertrain AIR Pump and the optional AIR Valve(s). Some AIR systems may have additional Powertrain controls, which do not impact the interface with platform. 3.2.1 Block Diagram. The followin
18、g block diagram (Figure 1) depicts a typical mechanization. The electrical interface between Powertrain and Platform is the only standard defined.
