Test Methods Date of introduction from 01.01.00 1 Sc
11、ope This Standard applies to motor vehicles (hereinafter referred to as MVs), including trolley-buses, of categories 1, M2, 3, N1, N2 and N3 in compliance with GOST 22895 (Appendix A). It establishes technical requirements and test methods regarding forward view from the drivers seat. This Standard
12、does not apply to MVs equipped with the bodies (cabins) manufactured before 01.01.77. 2 Normative References The following standards are referred to in this Standard: GOST 5727-88 Safe glass for ground transport. Technical requirements 3 Terms and Definitions The following terms with corresponding definitions are used in this Standard: Binocular view is the view obtained by sup
14、erposing the zones seen simultaneously by the left and the right eyes of the driver. Dividing post of the windscreen is the structure element used for additional fastening of glasses of prefabricated windscreens. Wiping zone of the windscreen is the zone of the outer surface of the windscreen wiped
15、by the blades of windscreen wipers. Input reference points are the physical points of MV body (holes, planes, marks and hollows) specified by its manufacturer. Design angle of body inclination is the angle between the vertical line going through point R and the line of the driver body arranged in co
16、mpliance with the design position of the seat-back specified by MV manufacturer. Official Edition 51266-99 2 Blind zones are the zones excluded from the forward view by opaque elements of the body (cab) structure, by internal or external devices, etc. Blind zones created by dividing posts of the win
17、dscreen are the zones excluded from the forward view by dividing posts of the windscreen taking binocular view into account. Normative zones A and B of the windscreen are the conventional zones on the outer surface of MV glass. Dimensions of the normative zones A and B are established by this Standa
18、rd. The normative zone A is arranged inside the normative zone B directly in front of the driver. Normative view field is the conventional field of the forward view within the 180-sector, arranged between the horizontal plane, that makes the upper boundary of the forward view at the level of the dri
19、ver eyes, and three other planes, that make the lower boundary of the forward view in the aggregate. Arrangement of these planes in space is established by this Standard. View is MV design property. It characterizes objective possibility and conditions for perception of visual information and provid
20、es safe and efficient driving. Forward view is the view through the both front and side cab windows confined by the driver visual sector in the horizontal plane equal to 180 in case when the line of sight from the driver seat is directed parallel to the mean longitudinal plane of MV. It is character
21、ized by dimensions and arrangement of the normative zones A and B of the windscreen, wiping degree of the normative zones A and B, normative view field , blind zones in the normative view field and also by the blind zones created by dividing posts of the windscreen. Longitudinal seat adjustment is t
22、he value of travelling of the driver seat measured in horizontal direction between its given extreme rear and front positions. Longitudinal seat adjustment intended for standard driving or standard purpose is the horizontal adjustment of the seat specified by the manufacturer and determined without
23、the travelling taken into account for the purpose other than standard driving or standard purpose. Transparent section of the windscreen and side windows is the glass section of the windscreen and side windows free from opaque structure elements and providing optical transmission in compliance with
