3、carbon steel. 1. KEY PARAMETERS 1.1. Rolled steel is produced as sheets and rolls from steel of grades 0, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5 in accordance with GOST 380. 1.2. Rolled steel is subdivided by standardized characteristics into the following categories: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Category nu
4、mber is added to the identification number, for example 31, 4 3. The customer shall specify the category of rolled stock. Where not specified, the category shall be chosen by the manufacturer. 1.3. Rolled steel of the following thicknesses shall be produced: 4 to160 mm for sheets; 4 to 12 mm for rol
5、ls. Regarding the other assortment requirements rolled steel shall comply with GOST 19903. 1.4. Example identification numbers are given in the Appendix. Official Edition Reprinting is prohibited ? 6、) -,-,- p. 2 GOST 14637-89 2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 2.1. Characteristics 2.1.1. Rolled steel shall be produced from steel with a chemical composition corresponding to GOST 380. Maximum deviations of finished rolled stock chemical composition from analysis of the ladle sample shall not exceed those
7、permitted by GOST 380. 2.1.2. For rolled steel up to 10 mm thick, inclusive, of steel grades 3, 3 and 3, the following decrease of the lower concentration limit of one of these elements shall be allowed: 0.04 % absolute for carbon and 0.01 % absolute manganese provided that mechanical properties est
8、ablished for the specified grades are maintained. At the customers request, the concentration of acid-soluble aluminum in rolled steel up to 5 mm thick of category 2 made of steel grade 3 deoxidized with aluminum, shall be no less than 0.02 %. A silicon concentration of less than 0.05 % in rolled st
9、eel of categories 2 to 4, up to 8 mm thick inclusive, manufactured from steel of grades 2 and 3, deoxidized with silicon- free deoxidizers is allowed provided that the norms and requirements for the rolled steel are observed. 2.1.3. At the customers request, the concentration of sulfur and phosphoru
10、s shall not exceed 0.040 % for sulfur and 0.030 % for phosphorus in rolled steel of categories 1 to 5, made of steel of all grades, except for 0; in rolled steel of category 6 the concentrations of each of these elements shall not exceed 0.025 %. 2.1.4. In rolled steel designed for welded constructi
11、on, the carbon concentration shall not exceed 0.22 % (). 2.1.5. Categories of rolled steel depending on standardized characteristics are given in Table 1. 2.1.6. Rolled steel of categories 1 to 5 shall be produced as hot-rolled, while category 6 rolled stock shall be produced hardened. To enable the
12、 required properties of rolled steel of all categories, heat treatment may be used. 2.1.7. The mechanical properties of rolled steel of categories 1 to 5 during tension and bending testing shall correspond to the norms given in Table 2. 2.1.7.1. An excess of the upper limit of the ultimate strengths
13、 of no more than 50 N/mm2 (5 kgf/mm2) over those given in Table 2 is allowed provided that the remaining norms are observed. Subject to agreement between the manufacturer and the customer the upper limit is not established. 2.1.7.2. Subject to agreement between the manufacturer and the customer the

A 1 % absolute decrease of relative elongation is allowed for rolled
21、the stock over 8 mm thick, and for each millimeter of reduced thickness for the rolled stock 8 mm and less thick. 2.1.8. The mechanical properties of rolled steel of category 6 during tension testing as well as the bending to parallelism of the sides and the norms of impact elasticity KCU shall meet those given in Table 4. To collect statistical data the manufacturer shall carry out the evaluation on each twentieth batch. 2.1.11. Rolled steel from steel of gra
28、de 3 of category 3 is produced as agreed between the manufacturer and the customer, the norms of impact elasticity at 20 shall be taken according to Table 3 for steel grades 3c and 3c. 2.1.12. On the surface of rolled steel there shall be no flaws, through ruptures, expanded burn-ons and skins from
29、casting, bubbles, Z-folds, cracks, scabs, impurities and rolled-in scale. Such defects as ripples, marks and other local defects not exceeding the maximum deviations are allowed. 2.1.13. The surface defects of rolled steel of any thickness made on plate mills shall be rectified by scraping. Scraped
30、sectors of the rolled steel more than 10 mm thick may be welded. Scraping shall be carried out using abrasive tools or other means, provided that the rolled stock properties are not changed. At the customers request welding of defects is not permitted. 2.1.14. When surface defects are rectified by s
31、craping, thickness may be reduced no more than 5 % of the stipulated thickness more than the negative limit deviation, but no more than by 3 mm. The area of a separate scraped sector shall be no more than 100 m2, while the total area of all fettled sectors of one sheet shall not exceed 2 % of its ar
32、ea. 2.1.15. If fettled spots on both sides are over each other, the allowed depth of scraping shall be taken as the sum of scraping depths on each side of the rolled steel, which shall not exceed the maximum thickness deviation. 2.1.16. The surface of a scraped sector not subject to welding shall no
33、t have sharp edges. -,-,- GOST 14637-89 p. 7 2.1.17. At the customers request, scraping of defects to a depth taking the thickness of the rolled stock beyond the limit dimensions is not permitted. 2.1.18. The depth of scraping for welding on rolled steel up to 120 mm thick shall be no more than 25 %
34、 of the real thickness and no more than 30 mm for extra thick rolled stock. 2.1.19. The welded zone shall overlap the scraped sector outline no less than 5 mm and shall not exceed limit dimensions. The area of a separate welded sector on the rolled stock surface shall not be more than 25 cm2 while t
35、he total area of welded sectors on one sheet shall not exceed 1 % of its area. 2.1.20. The trimmed edges of rolled stock shall have no lamination, cracks and flaws, or other defects exceeding thickness and length limits as follows: hair cracks and tension cracks over 2 mm deep and over 25 mm long; j
36、ags more than 2 mm deep rolled steel up to 20 mm thick and 3 mm for extra thick rolled steel. The edges of rolled steel shall have no burrs over 2 mm high. 2.1.21. Crumpling and back-bending of edges after trimming shall not exceed the maximum deviations according to GOST 19903. 2.1.22. Cragged edge
37、s shall have no lamination, flaws, cracks, bubbles, impurities, hair cracks or marks exceeding the thickness limit of the rolled steel. 2.1.23. Defects on the untrimmed side of a sheet or roll shall not exceed half the thickness limit deviation and shall not exceed the rated thickness of the rolled
38、steel. 2.1.24. The continuousness norms for sheets shall correspond to classes 01, 2 and 3 of GOST 22727. Monitoring of the near-edge zone shall be carried out at the customers request. 2.1.25. At the customers request, rolled steel surfaces shall be descaled and greased with neutral oil or other ne
39、utral preserving material. 2.1.26. Rolled steel in rolls shall not have the following defects: side edges bent more than 90; twisted and crumpled ends; sections longer than the width of insufficient width. At the customers request ends of insufficient width shall be trimmed. -,-,- p. 8 GOST 14637-89
40、 2.1.27. Making of rolls for pipe production of parts welded together, is not allowed. 2.2. Marking of rolled steel shall comply with GOST 7566 (amended). When marking, the identification number of the grade of steel (without the letters ) shall be applied. The color for marking rolled steel, except
41、 for category 6, shall comply with GOST 380, while category 6 shall be marked with red with yellow. 2.2.1. Transport marking shall comply with GOST 14192. 2.3. Packing of rolled steel shall comply with GOST 7566. 2.3.1. Packing rolled steel for regions of the Far North and those categorized as such
42、shall comply with GOST 15846. 3. ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURE 3.1. Rolled steel is accepted in batches. A batch of rolled steel manufactured from slabs made on continuous casting machines shall consist of rolled steel of same steel grade, same thickness, same mode of heat or hardening treatment; a batch of
43、rolled stock from ingots shall be from the same casting. The quantity of a batch of rolled steel from slabs made on continuous casting machines by the “smelt on smelt”, method shall not exceed 350 tons; a batch of slabs obtained from separate smelts shall not exceed the mass of a smelt. A batch of r
44、olled steel, except for rolled steel of steel grade C0, shall consist of sheets and rolls of one smelt. For rolled steel from steel of grade 0 the number of smelts in a batch is not limited. 3.2. Each batch shall be accompanied by a quality certificate in accordance with GOST 7566 and the following
45、data: categories of the rolled steel; type and mode of treatment: heat or hardening thickness, flatness and crescent-shape accuracy of rolled stock; working of edges; surface quality, including rectifying of surface defects by welding; results of non-destructive monitoring of continuousness; results
46、 of impact bending test on the samples with a V type concentrator; designation “” shall be indicated for rolled steel designed for welded constructions. 3.3. Sampling to check the chemical composition of finished rolled steel shall comply with GOST 7565. 3.4. Monitoring of the chemical composition o
47、f finished rolled steel at the manufacturers may not be carried out if the results of the analysis of ladle sample norms are ensured. GOST 14637-89 p. 9 3.5. Quantity of samples for quality control as per clauses 2.1.7 to 2.1.11 shall correspond to tab. 6.
