4、s specially designed for transporting children. The buses are designed for operation on motor roads of the general transport network of the Russian Federation. The buses shall meet the standard requirements for buses in the Russian Federation. The requirements of this Standard are aimed to prevent a
5、ccidents and preserve health. 2 NORMATIVE REFERENCES References to the following standards are used in this Standard: GOST 27815-88 (UN ECE Regulation No. 36) Buses. General requirements for construction safety GOST 28345-89 (UN ECE Regulation No. 52) Uniform prescriptions concerning the design of f

Efficiency and safety requirements 3 DESIGNATIONS AND ABBRIVIATIONS In this Standard the following designatio
7、ns and abbreviations are used: - Children means children 6 to 16 years old - Bus means a bus for transporting children - Seat means a seat designed to support a child - IWC means a wheelchair for movement of a child with impaired support and motor functions - SLD means a speed limitation device of t
8、he bus. 4 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Indicators of mass 4.1.1 The mass of an equipped bus shall be determined in accordance with GOST 27815 and GOST 28345. 4.1.2 The complete design mass of the bus shall be determined with the following limitations: - Mass of a child is 40 kg - Mass of an adult pass
9、enger accompanying children is 75 kg - Hand luggage mass is 5 kg per child - Mass of transported baggage is 5 kg per child, - Mass of IWC is 20 kg. Official Edition 1 GOST R 51160-98 4.2 Layout of passenger area 4.2.1 Recommended alternatives for arranging seats in the bus are given in Appendix A. 4
10、.2.2 Only seated places shall be stipulated in the bus. 4.2.3 Seats shall face forward in the direction of the bus motion. 4.2.4 The width of the central aisle in the passenger area shall be not less than 40 cm at the level of the floor. 4.2.5 A compartment shall be provided in the back part of the
11、bus, in which baggage and no fewer than 2 folding IWCs can be placed. The minimum free area of the compartment floor shall be: 1 m2 for buses with overall width not exceeding 200 cm, 2 m2 for buses with overall width from 210 to 220 cm, 3 m2 for buses with overall width from 230 to 250 cm. 4.2.6 The
12、 compartment shall have an aisle into the passenger area with width of not less than 80 cm. 4.2.7 Buses manufactured on the basis of buses of classes II and III in accordance with GOST 27815 shall have shelves for small things shall be installed above windows in the passenger area. Shelf width shall
13、 be not less than 30 cm and the height of free space above them shall be not less than 20 cm. The shelves shall be tilted at an angle not less than 10 to the bus wall. The shelf design shall ensure the childrens safeguard against objects, which may fall down from the shelves during hard braking or d
14、riving over uneven roads. 4.3 Seats (Appendix B) 4.3.1 For seats facing in the same direction a distance (H) between the back surface of the front backrest and back surface of the rear backrest, measured horizontally in the interval from a horizontal plane, tangent to the surface of the seat cushion
15、, to a horizontal plane at height 55 cm above the floor area for the legs of a sitting child, shall be not less than 60 cm. 4.3.2 The width (2F) of a single seat cushion shall be not less than 32 cm. 4.3.3 For a single seat the free space width (G), measured horizontally along its backrest in two di
16、rections from the middle vertical plane of the seat-place at a height of 20 to 60 cm above the uncompressed seat cushion, shall be not less than 17 cm. 4.3.4 The width of the cushion for two or more bench seats shall be determined in view of magnitudes F and G specified in clauses 4.3.2 and 4.3.3. 4
17、.3.5 The depth (K) of the seat cushion shall be not less than 35 cm. 4.3.6 The height (I) of the uncompressed seat cushion with respect to the floor level, where the legs of the sitting child are located, shall be such, so that the height of the horizontal plane tangent to the seat cushion surface s
18、hall be from 35 to 40 cm above this area. 4.3.7 There shall be a free space in front of a seat facing a partition in accordance with GOST 27815 and GOST 28345. 4.3.8 The edge of a seat facing an aisle shall have an elbow-rest or a handrail. The height of the elbow-rest or handrail above the seat cus
19、hion (B) shall be 18cm ( 2). 4.3.9 No fewer than two seats for adult passengers accompanying children shall be provided in the bus. The seat arrangement shall allow the adult passengers to control children while the bus is moving. The seats provided shall meet the requirements of GOST 27815 for buse
20、s of class I. 4.4 Entry and exit 4.4.1 Buses in accordance with GOST 28345 shall have 1 door, and buses in accordance with GOST 27815 shall have no fewer than 2 passenger doors for entry and exit. The door (or one of the doors) shall be in the immediate vicinity of the drivers area. 4.4.2 The width
21、of a passenger door shall be not less than 65 cm. This value may be reduced by 10 cm if measurements are made at the level of the handrail. 4.4.3 The first step height from road level shall not exceed 25 cm. In case of necessity, a removable step meeting the requirements of GOST 27815 shall be insta
22、lled to ensure the specified height. 4.4.4 The height of the next steps shall not exceed 20 cm. 4.4.5 The step depth shall be not less than 20 cm. -,-,- 2 GOST R 51160-98 4.4.6 Handrail or handles in passes of passenger doors 4.4.6.1 The passes shall be equipped with a handrail or handles on both si
23、des. 4.4.6.2 The handrail or handles shall be located so as to allow a child standing on the road near the passenger door or on any step to hold onto them. 4.4.6.3 The height of the handrail or handles shall be 60 to 110 cm from the road surface or from the surface of each step. 4.4.6.4 The depth (h
24、orizontally) of the handrail or handles for a child standing on the road shall not be more than 30 cm in relation to the exterior edge of the first step. 4.4.6.5 The depth (horizontally) of the handrail or handles for a child standing on any step shall not be more than 30 cm in relation to the inter
