12、ry 2001 GM EUROPE ENGINEERING STANDARDS GME L-6-52 3 Resources All test equipment shall be functional and shall be cal- ibrated according to IS0 9001. 3.1 Facilities. 3.1.1 Test Stand. An engine test stand with an adequate operating range for the maximum engine torque and engine speed shall be used
13、for determin- ing the ignition. The engine shall be mounted on the test stand according to the installation position in the vehicle. Necessary adjustments to the test stand (e.g. for transversal installation) are permitted. If using a transmission / drive train (for OPEL Stan- dard), the frictional
14、losses shall be compensated or corrected by means of calculation using the following formula: 3.1.2 Accuracy of Measurements. Fr die Zndungsermit
16、tlung ist ein Motorenprfstand mit einem fr das Maximal- drehmoment und die Maximaldrehzahl des Motors ausreichenden Betriebsbereich zu verwenden, auf dem der Motor bezglich Einbaulage wie im Fahr- zeug aufzubauen ist. Notwendige Anpassungen an den Prfstand (2.B. fr Quereinbau) sind zulssig. Bei Verw
17、endung eines Getriebes / Antriebsstranges (bei OPEL Standard), sind die Reibungsverluste zu kompensieren bzw. rechnerisch nach folgender Formel zu korrigieren: 3.1.2 Genauigkeit der Messungen. The equipment includes all power- related components which are required for operation of the engine in thevehicle, particularly the intake svs- - tem, the exhaust system and the electrical system. The intake and exhaust systems shall be assembled according to the arrangement in
20、the vehicle. If a bat- tery is required for operating the engine, it shall be fully charged. Air-cooled engines shall be tested with intercooler. The standard cooler can be replaced by a test stand system, whereby the pressure and temperature drop in the intercooler shall conform to the values speci
21、fied by the manufacturer for the complete vehicle. An additional test stand fan can be used to cool the engine on the test stand if operated independently of the engine electrical system. 3.3 Test Vehicle / Test Piece. The measurement shall be performed on development, prototype or production engine
22、s. 3.4 Test Time. Not applicable. 3.5 Test Required Information. Not applicable. 3.6 Personnel / Skills. Not applicable. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. - The engine shall have a stable power characteris- tic, .e. it shall have completed a sufficient run-in period (5000 km min. according to GME L-6R-1)
23、. - The fuel supply (PKrafist, pump flow rate) shall cor- respond to the existing conditions in the vehicle. - The measurement shall be initialized on the test stand computer with the following: Details on engine type, engine number, model series, project, test stand number, octane number and densit
24、y of the fuel, distance covered by the engine, compression ratio, part numbers of the equipment, identification of the calibration.
