The wire may be made with the intermediate dimensions that are not specified in table 1 by agreement between the manufacturer and the customer. In this case maximum deviation
8、s of the proximate smaller dimension shall be accepted. 1.2.2. The wire shall be wound in coils with the correct non-tangled rows without bending. 1.4. The mass of the
10、 wire cut shall meet the specified in table 2. 11、% of the mass) in a batch 1.5. The wire ovality shall not exceed the diameter maximum deviations. 1.6. The theoretical mass of the wire length of 1000 m shall be calculated for the standard accuracy and enhanced accuracy according to the nominal diameter without half of the maximum deviation. When d
12、efining the theoretical mass of 1000 m of the wire the density of the aluminium alloys 1, 65 equal to 2.80 g/cm2 shall be taken for the initial value. The conversion coefficients specified in Appendix 1 shall be used to calculate the theoretical mass of 1000 m of the wire made of other grades. (Amen
13、ded Wording, Amendment No. 2) 1.7. The wire shall be made with standard accuracy if there are no other instructions in the order. Examples of conventional designations are as follows: Wire made of aluminium of grade 1, with diameter of 9.0 mm and standard accuracy of manufacturing: 1 9 14838-78 GOST
14、 14838-78 p. 4 The same, with enhanced accuracy of manufacturing (): 1 9 14838-78 2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 2.1. The wire shall be made in compliance with the requirements of this Standard according to the technical documentation approved in accordance with the established procedure. The wire shall
15、be made of aluminium of grade 1 and aluminium alloys of grades , 2, 5, 1, 16, 18 and 65 with chemical composition in accordance with GOST 4784-74. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 2) 2.2. The wire shall be made in the cold-worked condition. 2.3. The wire shear strength shall meet that specified in ta

The wire may be made of alloy of grade 65 with diameter between 8.0 and 10 mm with minimum shear strength of 235 MPa (24.0 kgf/m
18、m2) by agreement between the manufacturer and the customer. 2.4. The mechanical characteristics of the wire with diameter of 12 mm made of alloy 1 in the hardened and aged conditions shall be the following: minimum ultimate strength shall be 370 MPa (38 kgf/mm2), minimum specific elongation shall be
19、 12 %. 2.3; 2.4. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 1) 2.5. The wire surface shall have no flaws, delamination, oxide spots, bubbles, laps, nicks, fins, sharp flexes or corrosion spots. 2.6. On the surface of the wire, scratches, broaching traces (risks), pricks, dents and worn out spots shall be allow
20、ed, if their monitored grinding does not break the wire diameter maximum deviations, and the grinding depth does not exceed the half diameter maximum deviation. 2.7. The temper colors, dark and light stains without roughness shall be allowed on the wire surface. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 1) p.
21、 5 GOST 14838-78 2.8. The local slant grinding of the wire shall be allowed, if it does not reduce the wire dimensions to negative maximum deviations. 2.9. The wire shall stand the rivet test to get the flat head with the height that is no more than 0.5 of the wire nominal diameter. The flat head sh
22、all have the round or slightly oval shape. The lateral surface shall be even and smooth without flaws, tears and laps. (Amended Wording, Amendment Nos. 1 and 2) 3. ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURE 3.1. The wire shall be accepted in batches. A batch shall consist of the wire of the same grade of aluminium or sam
23、e grade of aluminium alloy, same heat, same diameter and same manufacturing accuracy and shall be accompanied by the same quality certificate with the following data: Trade mark or name and trade mark of the manufacturer; The name of the customer; Identification number of the wire; Batch number; Num
24、ber of the coil; Net weight of the batch; The test results; Date of shipment; Number of this Standard. A batch may consist of the wire of several heats provided that each heat was tested for conformity to the requirements of this Standard. 3.2 One coil from a batch shall be selected to define the ch
