3、al economy. The Standard establishes the general sanitary-hygienic requirements for the microclimate parameters and the allowed content of hazardous substances in the working area air. The requirements for the allowed content of hazardous substances in the working area air apply to working places ir
4、respective of their location (indoor production zones, in mines, at open areas, in transport vehicles, etc.). The requirements for the microclimate do not apply to the working places located underground and in mines, in transport vehicles, in cattle-breeding and poultry-keeping facilities, in storeh
5、ouses for agricultural products, in cold stores, and in warehouses. This Standard does not apply to the requirements for the working area air under radioactive pollution conditions. This Standard contains the general requirements for the methods of measurement and monitoring of the microclimate para
6、meters and the concentrations of hazardous substances. The terms and their explanations are presented in Appendix 1. 7、ibuted without the permission of USSR Gosstandart -,-,- p. 2 GOST 12.100588 1. OPTIMUM AND ALLOWED VALUES OF MICROCLIMATE PARAMETERS IN WORKING AREAS* 1.1. The parameters describing the microclimate include: 1) the air temperature; 2) the relative humidity of air; 3) the speed of air flow; 4) the in
8、tensity of thermal radiation. 1.2. The optimum microclimate parameters apply to the entire working area, whereas the allowed parameters are established differently for the stationary and non-stationary working places. The optimum and allowed values of temperature, relative humidity, and speed of air
9、 flow in the working area of industrial facilities shall comply with the values specified in table 1. 1.3. The allowed values of the microclimate parameters shall be established in cases if, due to technologic requirements, technical or economic reasons, the optimum norms are not provided. 1.4. When
10、 performing operator-type jobs, which cause a nervous and emotional stress, in operators cabs, at consoles and stations for the control of technological processes, in computer facilities and in other industrial facilities, an optimum air temperature from 22 to 24C, relative humidity from 60 to 40%,
11、and travel speed not over 0.1 m/s shall be ensured. The list of other industrial areas where the optimum microclimate parameters shall be observed shall be established by the industry branch documents approved by the health control authorities in accordance with the established procedure. 1.5. When
12、providing the optimum microclimate parameters, the temperature of inside surfaces of constructions enclosing the working area (walls, floor, ceiling, etc.) or devices (screens, etc.), as well as the temperature of the outside surfaces of the process equipment or its fencing shall not fall by over 2C
13、 outside the optimum limits of air temperature established in table 1 for separate work categories. If the temperature of the fence surfaces is lower or higher than the optimum air temperature, the working places shall be located no closer than 1 m to these surfaces. The air temperature in a working
14、 area measured at different heights and in various places of the working facility during one shift shall not fall outside the optimum values specified in table 1 for certain work categories. _ * According to sanitary standards for the microclimate of working areas approved by the USSR Ministry of He

For intermediate va
19、lues of air temperature, it is allowed to determine the speed of its flow by interpolation; at minimum air temperatures, the speed of its flow may also be assumed to be lower than 0.1 m/s (for easy work) and below 0.2 m/s (for medium and heavy work). When ensuring the allowed microclimate parameters, the temperature of inner surfaces of structures fencing the working area (walls, floor, ceiling, etc.) or devices (screens, etc.) shall not fall outside the allowed limits of air temperature specified in table 1 for separate work categories. The
21、 allowed difference in the air temperatures over the working area height is up to 3C for all work categories. The allowed horizontal variations of the air temperature in a working area and during a working shift are up to 4C for easy works, up to 5C for medium works, and up to 6C for heavy works; th
22、e absolute air temperatures measured at various heights and in various sites of a working area during a shift shall not fall outside the allowed limits of the air temperature specified in table 1. The requirements of clauses 1.5 and 1.6 for the temperature of internal surfaces of the protecting stru
23、ctures and devices do not apply to the temperature of surfaces of cooling and heating systems in working areas and at working places. 1.7. When ensuring the optimum and allowed microclimate parameters, means for the protection of working places from radiation cooling from glass window surfaces (in t
24、he cold time of year), or by direct incident solar beams in the warm time of year, shall be provided. 1.8.
