9、 third party certification of domestic gas cooking appliances to be extended to those with forced-convection ovens. This Part is based on the specifications for freestanding and built-in domestic gas cooking appliances, BS 5386-3 and BS 5386-4, respectively. These specifications are themselves deriv
10、ed from the European Standard EN 30 which, although it is currently being revised, still does not cover gas burning forced-convection ovens. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct applica

Summary of pages This document comprises a front cover, an inside front cover, pages i and ii, pages 1 to 4, an inside back cover and a back cover. This standard has been updated (see copyright date)

17、g. “Leave in lowest runner” and shall be left in that position for all tests. Any such shelves or similar item of oven furniture shall be tested at the limits of horizontal movement allowed by the design. 2.2.2 Convection fan The convection fan motor shall be treated as an item of auxiliary equipmen

Where a protective device is used to prevent access to moving parts, the mechanical strength of the device shall be such that when tested in accordance with A.2, the device neither deforms nor changes its position such that when subsequently tested in accordance with A.1 access to moving parts s
21、hall not be possible. 2.2.3 Supply voltage for tests The following tests shall be conducted at rated voltage: a) the prolonged performance test of 2.1.2 of either BS 5386-3:1980 or BS 5386-4:1991, as appropriate; b) all tests on limit gases. With the exception of item a), all tests on the reference
22、gas shall be conducted with a supply voltage of 1.10 the maximum rated voltage. 2.2.4 Oven setting Tests normally conducted with a centre oven temperature set at 230 C, or 210 C rise above ambient, shall be carried out in accordance with either BS 5386-3:1980 or BS 5386-4:1991, as appropriate, excep
