11、onal Organization for Standardization (ISO). This Part is identical with ISO 4149:1980 “Green coffee Olfactory and visual examination and determination of foreign matter and defects”. BS 5752 will consist of Parts corresponding to International Standards as they are published. Subject to UK acceptan
12、ce of the International Standards the Parts of BS 5752 will be identical with the corresponding ISO texts. Only Part 1 (Green coffee Determination of moisture content (Basic reference method) has been published prior to the issue of this Part 4. See the national foreword to Part 1 for details of the
13、 other Parts in course of preparation. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attenti
14、on is especially drawn to the following. The comma has been used throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full stop on the baseline as a decimal marker. Wherever the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as
15、“British Standard”. NOTEUntil ISO 4072 is published users of this standard should ensure that the sampling procedures employed result in a representative sample. 20、 a specification or a contract. Moreover, these methods may be used for determining one or more of the characteristics of green coffee for technical, commercial, administrative and arbitration purposes and for quality control or quality inspection. 2 Field of application This International Standard

ISO 4150, Green coffee Size analysis Manual sieving1). 4 Sampling Take a laboratory sample of 300 g, prepared in accordance with ISO 4072. The same la
22、boratory sample may later be used for size analysis (see ISO 4150) provided that it is fully reconstituted for the latter test. 5 Olfactory examination 5.1 Procedure 5.1.1 The olfactory examination shall be carried out on the laboratory sample before any other examination is made. 5.1.2 After having
23、 recorded the label information on a record form, open the package, bring the nose as close to the whole sample as possible and sniff sharply. 5.2 Evaluation Evaluate the odour and record as follows. 5.2.1 “Normal odour” if no disagreeable odour or any odour foreign to coffee is detected. 5.2.2 “Abn
