It specifies the performance
12、requirements of the surface finish of kitchen unit worktops and other surfaces when subjected to a number of tests that simulate normal use and minor accidents likely to occur in a domestic kitchen. The adhesion of the surfacing and edging materials to their substrate and the adhesion of worktop lip
13、pings are also specified. This revision supersedes BS 6222-3:1988 which is withdrawn. Although the sealing of the underside and uncovered edges of worktops is not specified, it is recommended that where moisture resistance is required the underside and uncovered edges are sealed with lacquer, adhesi

This revision introduces some changes to the performance ratings for surface finishes to align them with equivalent requirements in the revision of BS 6250-2 and BS 6250-3 published in 1991. Other Parts of BS 6222 are as follows: Part 1: Specification for co-ordinat
