It is based upon proposals prepared by the Association of Hydraulic Equipment Manufacturers and is intended to lay down essential interface dimensions for electrical c
13、onnections to electro-hydraulic equipment used in mobile hydraulic fluid power and control systems. The in-line tab and receptacle referred to in this standard are the subject of BS 5057; they are widely used in domestic and other types of electrical equipment and have a current rating not exceeding
14、 25 A. BS 5057 is based upon CEE Recommendation No. 6. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. 17、sembly, to connect with the coils of solenoid valves and other electrically activated units used in mobile fluid power systems, and operating at voltages up to 48 V. It is intended that connection and disconnection of the connector should not be made whilst the electrical supply is on. 2 References
18、The title of the publication referred to in this standard is given on the inside back cover. 3 Definitions For the purposes of this British Standard the definitions given in BS 5057 shall apply. 4 General requirements The following requirements are the minimum necessary to ensure physical interchang
19、eability and reliability of in-line tabs fitted to electro-hydraulic equipment and associated sockets embodying receptacles. 4.1 In-line tabs. The equipment shall provide two tabs, component size 6.3, complying with all the requirements of BS 5057 (standard sheet 1), which are positioned and orienta
20、ted as shown in Figure 1. A clear area not less than that shown in Figure 1, shall also be provided to accommodate the mating receptacles and their insulating sleeve. 4.2 Socket. The mating socket shall comprise two appropriate receptacles, component size 6.3, complying with all the requirements of
21、BS 5057 (standard sheet 2), which are housed in a suitable insulating sleeve in such a manner that they will mate fully with in-line tabs provided in accordance with 4.1.
