The work of prepar
12、ing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in li
13、aison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of
14、 technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote. Attention is

In particular, a potentiometric titration has been included as an option and the concentration of the sodium thiosulfate so

This standard does not purport to address all of the safety pro

It is the responsibility of the user to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to ensure compliance with any national regulatory conditions. 1 Scope This International Standard specifies methods for the determination of iodine adsorption number
20、of carbon blacks for use in the rubber industry. Two titration methods are described: method A: titration using a burette and starch as indicator; method B: potentiometric titration with an automatic titrator. The iodine adsorption number is related to the surface area of a carbon black, and is gene
21、rally in agreement with the nitrogen surface area. However, it is significantly depressed in the presence of a high content of volatile or solvent-extractable materials; the iodine adsorption number therefore does not always provide a measure of the specific surface area of a carbon black. Ageing of
22、 carbon black can also influence the iodine number. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. The mixture is then centrifuged. A measured volume of the clear iodine solution is titrated wit
