NOTE - It includes any such d
4、evice having a part within the human body for structural or functional purposes. 18、on who, having com- pleted an approved course of training, manufactures pros- theses under the direction of a prosthetist. NOTE - It may be necessary in some countries for prosthetics tech- nicians to be approved by a national authority. 2.3.6 prosthetic (orthoticl assessment: Review of the overall
19、condition of the patient by those involved in the treat- ment, and the recommendation by theprosthetist (orthotist) of the components and clinical fitting procedures best suited to the circumstances of that patient. 2.3.7 prosthetic (orthotic) casting and measurement: Acquisition and recording of al
20、l information required to con- struct the prosthesis (orthosis) by means that may include the preparation of diagrams, tracings, measurements and negative casts of the body segments. 2.3.6 cast modification: Process of modifying the positive model obtained by filling a negative cast in order to obta
21、in a shape which specifies the whole, or part, of the form of the final prosthesis or orthosis. 2.3.9 tracing modification: Modification of a tracing to ob- tain a profile which specifies the whole, or part, of the shape of the final prosthesis or orthosis. 2.3.10 alignment: Establishment of the pos
22、ition in space of the components of the prosthesis or orthosis relative to each other and to the patient. 2.3.11 bench assembly and alignment: Assembly and alignment of the components of a prosthesis or orthosis in accordance with their characteristics and with previously acquired data regarding the
23、 patient. 2.3.12 static alignment: Process whereby the bench align- ment is refined while the prosthesis or orthosis is being worn by the stationary patient. 2.3.13 dynamic alignment: Process whereby the alignment of the prosthesis or orthosis is optimized by using observations of the movement patte
