、 node, the node with the smaller number has priority. That is, if the own node number is smaller than the token destination node number in the re- ceived frame, the received token is discarded and the own node maintains the token holding state. Conversely, when the own node number is larger than the
、 token desti- nation node number in the received frame, the own node token is discarded and the node transits from the token holding state to token waiting state. 8.2 Node in-ring and out-ring 8.2.1 Joining node At a start, each node monitors the network until the joining to- ken detection time goes
、 out. Token multiplication prevention If the node does not detect any token frame. it recognizes the situation as a network initialization state and executes the processing described in a). In the other case, if the node detects a token frame, it recognizes the situation as an in-ring startup state
、and executes the processing described in b). a) Case 1: receiving no token frame (Network initialization state) Figure 28 a) shows a sub-case where the node joins the network in the initialization state si- multaneously with other nodes, and figure 28 b) shows the other sub-case where the node start
、s up alone. When no token frame is detected during the joining token detection time, the node prepares to transmit a trigger frame. The node transmits the trigger frame after the trigger frame transmission waiting time (TrWT) refer to figure 28 b)l. If a trigger frame from other node is received bef
、ore the node transmits its trigger frame, the node shall transmit no trigger frame refer to figure 28 a). Each node shall wait for all the nodes to transmit participation request frames dur- ing the participation request frame acceptance time (i 200 ms) since the first trigger frame reception or tra

The duplication check is done through all the areas of recognized nodes. When the participation request frame transmission waiting time (PWT) goes o
、ut af- ter the first trigger frame reception or transmission, each node transmits its participa- tion request frame. The node having the smallest node number transmits a token first when the participation request frame acceptance time goes out. A node that recognizes node number duplication in the p
、articipation request frame from other node does not participate in the network and therefore does not transmit and receive data at all. It sets a node number duplication flag in the own node status information, and notifies the upper layer of the node number duplication error infor- mation. A node t

At this time, it sets the address duplication detection flag in the FA link status information, and also reset
