Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies classification standard for all kinds of pig iron and steel s
5、craps. 2. Pig Iron Scraps 2.1 Classification by Use Pig iron scraps shall be classified into two broad categories of use; melting use and miscellaneous use. 2.2 Classification by Quality and Shape Pig iron scraps for melting use shall be subclassified as below according to quality and shape: 2.2.1 C
6、lass A Class B Superior pig iron scraps (composed of scraps coming from machinery, tools, etc. Ordinary pig iron scraps (composed of scraps coming from pans, kettles, fire grates and the like) irons Class C Malleable pig iron scraps, coming from malleable cast 2.2.2 Grade A Grade B Scraps weighing 2
7、0 kg or less per piece Scraps which can easily be transformed into Grade A by breaking or fusion cutting Pig iron turnings and fragments (pig iron shavings without Grade C . foreign matters). This grade is not further classified. 2 . 3 Pig iron scraps for miscellaneous use are not further classified

Steel Scram 3.1 Classification by Use Steel scraps shall be classified into three broad categories of use; for melting, for rerolling and for miscellaneous use. 3.2 Classification of Steel Scraps for Melting Steel scraps for melting shall be classified into three classes according to quality an
