4、apanese Industrial Standards Committee in accordance with the Industrial Standardization Law. Consequently, JIS H 8682 : 1993 was withdrawn and the abrasive wheel wear test, which was specified in the withdrawn JIS H 8682, has been replaced in this Standard. This establishment, for the purpose of ma
5、king it easy to compare Japanese Industrial Standards with International Standards, to prepare the Japanese Industrial Standard which conforms to International Standards, and to propose a draft for International Standard on a basis of Japanese Industrial Standard, has adopted (1) abrasive wheel wear
6、 test, (2) abrasive jet test, and (3) sand-falling abrasion resistance test, which were specified in withdrawn JIS H 8682, and has made them independent parts as shown in the following new standards. 12、apanese Industrial Standard has been prepared based on the second edition of IS0 8251 Anodized aluminium and aluminium alloys-Measure- ment of wear resistance and wear index of anodic oxide coatings with an abrasive wheel wear test apparatus, published in 1989; and on the corresponding parts of the
13、first edition of IS0 10074 Specification for hard anodic oxidation coatings on alu- minium and its alloys, published in 1994, without any modification in technical con- tents, however the contents (summary, and test condition), which are not mentioned in corresponding International Standards, have b
14、een supplemented in this Japanese Industrial Standard. This Standard, which specifies the test method on abrasion resistance of anodic oxide coating on aluminium and aluminium alloys, is composed of three such tests as abrasive wheel wear test, abrasive jet test, and sand-falling abrasion resistance
15、 test, and their application shall be submitted to the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery who have just considered the shape of products, type of coating, thickness of coating and so on. In this Standard, the upassages” underlined with dotted line are the items which are not speci
16、fied in corresponding International Standards. 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the wear-resistance test method, which is carried out by the wheel wear test, in order to test the anodic oxi- dation coatings (hereafter referred to as ucoatings”) with at least 5 pm thickness, applie
17、d to the surface of the products (hereafter referred to as “products”) manufac- tured with aluminium and aluminium alloys.
