Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the testing methods for carbon blocks to be used mainly for lining of blast furnace and electrical furnace. However, except those

Common ADDaratus 3.1 Scale The weighing capacity and reciprocal sensibility of scale to be used shall be as given in Table 1. Table 1 Weighing ca

11、curacy shall be used. JIS C 1601, and JIS C 1602 shall be used. However, for measurement of 3.4 Pyrometer As to pyrometer, pyrometers specified in JIS 2 8706, 3.5 Drying Apparatus As to drying apparatus, an electric constant- temperature apparatus attached with automatic temperature regulator capabl
12、e of keeping at a temperature of 105 to llOC shall be used, 3.6 Glass Apparatus for Chemical Analysis and Porcelain Apparatuses As to glass apparatus for chemical analysis and porcelain apparatuses, unless specially designated, those according to JIS shall be used. 4. Rounding Off of Numerical Value
13、s of Test Results The rounding off of numerical values of test results shall be in accordance with JIS Z 8401. 5 . 18、ressive strength or bending strength, out of the sufficiently mixed sample, prepare the ash content, water content and volatile matter according to Remark 1 . and the true specific gravity according to Remark 2 . Round bar of 15 to 25 mm in diameter and 50 to 130 mm in length or square bar of 15 to
19、25 mm in thickness, 15 to 25 mm in width and 50 to 130 mm in length. At the center of one surface of cube of 50 mm in thickness, 50 mm in width and 50 mm in length perforate a hole of 22 mm in diameter, 25 mm in depth by using a drill. Further, use a plateof the same material quality of 6 mm in thic
20、kness, 50 mm in width and length as the cover of the hole and make the dimensional permissible deviations of test pieces, f0.5 mm in either cases. Remarks 1. Carry out the reduction of mixed sample to make approximately 20 g, and crush by grinding in an agate mortar until the whole amount passes thr
21、ough the standard net sieve of 250 um specified in JIS Z 8801. 2. Carry out the reduction of residue of Remark 1. of mixed sample to make approximately 30 g, and similarly to Remark 1. crush by grinding until its whole amount passes through the net sieve of 149 pm. 3. Particularly, in inevitable cas
22、e, the shape and dimensions of test piece may be changed, described clearly in the test report. In this case, the content shall be 4. 23、entage , confirm the direction, and at reporting of the measured values, describe clearly the relation of lengthwise direction of test piece to the lengthwise direction of specimen.
