7、: 1997 Physical testing methods for cement Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard has been prepared supplementing An- nex 1 and Annex 2 in which the method of strength test is revised to as specified IS0 679, Methods of testing cement -Determination of strength published in 1989, and the met
8、hods of setting time test and soundness test specified in IS0 9597, Cements-Test methods -Determination of setting time and soundness published in 1989 are adopted in addition to the conventional test methods, in the style of the original International Stan- dard. Though IS0 679 specifies that the c
9、ertification testing of standard sand shall be un- dertaken by laboratories approved for this purpose by the appropriate national stan- dardization organization, this provision is modified in conformity with the actual situa- tion of Japan, because this certification is not established at present in
10、 Japan. 1 Scope for cement. This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the physical testing methods Remarks The following standards are normative references to this Standard. 14、cordance to JIS 4 Sample The sample shall be as follows: (1) An appropriate quantity () of cement shall be sampled and reduced so that each inspection unit will represent the mean quality of the cement. The sampling and reducing method shall be determined by agreement between the parties concerned w
15、ith delivery. Note( ) The appropriate quantity shall mean the quantity of 5 kg or over after the reduction of the sample. (2) The sample taken shall be preserved in a tightly sealed moisture proof and air tight vessel after being cleared of impurities with the standard wire sieve of 850Um specified
16、in JIS Z 8801. For the testing, the sample shall be preliminarily put in a test room in order to equalize its temperature with room temperature. 5 Test water Distilled or deionized water or drinking water shall be used for tests. 6 Density test 6.1 Apparatus The apparatus shall be as follows: Le Cha

These oils are all dehydrated perfectly. The mineral oil to be used shall be kerosine specified in JIS
20、K 2203 6.3 Procedures Put mineral oil into the pycnometer to its scale mark between the O ml and the 1 ml mark and leave the pycnometer standing still in the water bath. Read the scale mark of liquid level of the mineral oil (the first reading) when that has become nearly stationary. Next, weigh 100
21、 g of the sample to the nearest 0.1 g and put it gently, little by little, into the pycnometer. After all the sample has been put in, shake the flask appropriately to expel air thoroughly. And, leave the flask standing still in a water bath and read the scale mark of the liquid level of the mineral
22、oil (the final reading) when that has become nearly stationary. Remarks The temperature of water in the water bath shall not fluctuate by more than 0.2“C during the density test. 6.4 Calculation The density shall be calculated from the following equation: m p = - V where, p : density of the sample (

24、irst and the final readings (mi) The density tests shall be carried out at least twice, and the mean of the density that have come within the difference of 0.01 g/cm3 shall be adopted and be rounded off to two decimal places. 7 Fineness test 7.1 Specific surface area test 7.1.1 Apparatus The apparat

28、ge enough to make a bed 15 mm f 1 mm in height. Materials of the cell, plunger and perforated metal disc shall be the metal which will not be eroded by cement. Inside surface of the cell, shall be polish-finished, and the cell and manometer shall be tightly fitted by grinding. The number of holes on
29、 the perforated metal disc shall be 25 to 35, and they shall be perforated evenly over the whole surface. Manometer Unit: mm Plunger Cell Informative reference Fig. 2 Blaines air permeability apparatus 7.1.2 Standardizing test of apparatus The standardizing test of the apparatus shall be carried out as follows: In the standardizing test of the apparatus, the standard sample for fineness meas- ureme
32、nt shall be used. The test shall be carried out assuming the density of the standard sample to be 3.15 (g/cm3) and the porosity of bed to be 0.500f0.005. The testing method shall be in accordance with 7.1.3, and to of 7.1.4 shall be obtained. The measurements shall be carried out not less than three
33、 times making a new bed for each measurement, and the mean value shall be obtained. The standardizing test shall be carried out on such occasions as given in the fol- lowing: (a) (b) When the cell and plunger have been abraded. When the manometer liquid has been contaminated, or its quantity has in-
34、 creased or decreased. (c) When any change in size or quality of filter paper for testing has taken place. 36、tly, and shake up violently for about 1 min to disintegrate the sample thoroughly. 40、the manometer, place the perforated metal disc and filter pa- per correctly on the ledge in the cell, put the sample on them, and tap the side of the cell to level the sample. Next, place another filter paper on the sample and press it gently with the plunger, until the plunger collar is in contact
41、with the upper brim of the cell, and then withdraw the plunger gently, Next, attach the cell closely to the manometer, open the cock and make the liquid head of the manometer liquid in the U-tube rise up to the marked line A using the rub- ber bulb and then close the cock. Correctly measure the requ
42、ired time for the bottom of the meniscus of liquid to descend from the marked line B to the marked line C to the nearest 0.5 s with a stopwatch required. 49、.2 Wire sieve test 7.2.1 Apparatus The apparatus shall be as follows: Sieve The sieve used shall be the standard wire sieve of 90 U m specified in JIS Z 8801, and its sieve frame 150 mm in diameter and 45 mm in depth or 200 mm in diameter and shall be 60 mm in depth. 7.2.2 Procedures Put 50 g of sample into the sieve and make fine particles pass through the sieve by turning it gently, pat the sieve frame with a single hand at a rate of 150 times per minute. Turn the sieve by about 1/6 round at every 25 times of patting. Mash the lumped par
