11、02 Gas respirators 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies gas respirators for inhaling the air cleaned by removing poisonous gases or vapors (hereafter referred to as “poi- sonous gas”) or particulate substance mixed with poisonous gas in work area or other places (hereafter referred to
12、 as “respirators”). 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards (including amendments) indicated below shall be applied. Glossary of terms for respirator
13、y protective devices Colour specification-Specification according to their. three attributes JIS T 8001 JIS Z 8721 3 Definitions 8001 and the following definitions apply: a) For the purposes of this Standard, the definitions given in JIS T peak value of inhalation resistance and peak value of exhala
14、tion resis- tance The difference, between the pressure inside of the respirator when wearing it and breathing or connecting a breathing simulator and operating it, and the atmospheric air, creates the waveform as shown in Fig. 1. The maximum value on the minus side of every wave is called the inhala

17、re classified into the types given in Table 1. into those with filter and those without filter. The absorption cartridges are as given in Table 2 and, moreover, they are divided The symbols for each class of absorption cartridge with filter are as given in Table 3. Remarks : The absorption cartridge
18、s with filter are intended as well to collect and remove particulate materials, and there are two types, built-in filter type and separable filter type.
