Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the specification of colour of materials according to the CIE 1976 (. * *
5、b * ,) space and the CIE 1976 ( L*u*v* ) space colour space having perceptionally, approximately uniform degree re- commended by Commission Internationale de 1Echairage abbreviated to CIE in 19761. Remarks 1. L*a*b* space and * d * space are called CIE 1976 (L*u*b*) colour space and CIE 1976 (L*u*v*
6、) colour space in Commission Internationale de 1Eclairage , and are abbreviated as CIELAB and CIELUV. 2. L*u*b* is read as L star, a star and b star. L*U*U* is read similarly. a 2. Definitions For the purposes of this standard the following definitions apply and others are in accordance with JIS Z 8
7、105 and JIS Z 8120. . (1) psychometric lightness One of the coordinates in three dimensional colour space having perceptionally , approximately uniform degree , and the index expressing the lightness. (2) psychometric chroma coordinates Two coordinates in three dimensional colour space having percep
8、tionally, approximately uniform degree and the index expressing chromaticness. (3) CIE 1976 UCS chromaticity coordinates ticity diagram recommended by Commission Internationale de 1Eclairage The coordinates in UCS chrorna- - in 1976. 3. Specification of Colour of Materials The specification of colou
9、r of materials shall be in accordance with psycho- metric lightness L* and psychometric chroma coordinates a*, b* or u*, v*. 4. Psychometric Lightness The psychometric lightness L* shall be obtained by using Y of tristimulus values specified in JIS Z 8701 or JIS Z 8728 from the following formula: wh
